Blocking numbers from calling you (Verizon cell phone)

17 years 3 months ago
If you have Verizon Wireless as your cell provider, there is a way to block individual numbers from calling. I just found this out, as I have Verizon and have had some problems recently. If you access your account online, it is under the self-service options, "Usage controls." It is a service that is $4.95/month per line, and is intended for children with cell phones to keep certain numbers from calling or being called. I just wanted to pass the word on for any others who may be dealing with overly harassing calls to their cell phone.

Stop complaining and start acting....

It's our time. As long as we just complain and do nothing, these illegal loan sharks and their affiliates will continue to practice illegal activities. I am asking the community to tell their story to 20/20 investigation. Go the the following site abcnews.go.com/blotter and at your right you will see a blog that says Send Tip to Brian. Only thing you will have to give is your email address. Tell your story. Tell how these illegal companies are harrassing you and your family, tell how Bank of America is not closing your accounts and charging NSF fees.

Time to FIGHT back

I believe that after you default on these payday loans, they put your information out there for anyone to collect promising them they will get a percentage or commission. SOBs..SCUMS...! Forgive, I am so angry. We need to end this now! We have a powerful tool for communication and that's the internet. Let's expose them to the news, 20/20 investigation, etc. Any suggestion???? I have already filed a Consumer Complaint with the Nevada Division of Financial Institutions. We need to flood their desk and every United States Financial Institutions desk with complaints.

How many times are the PDL .......

17 years 3 months ago
How many times are the PDL companies allowed to try and debit your bank account and will they use a different name to keep on trying to debit? Since I'm having so much trouble trying to close my bank of america account.. I've decided that I will just have to pay the $35.00 overdraft charges everytime they send a PDL back. I've heard they're only allowed to try and debit 3 times but they will change their DBA so that they can try again. Is this true? If so then I'm in for a lot of overdraft charges.

Wells Fargo or any collector

Isn't there a limit to how many times they can call you a day? I have received 6 calls from them today, and its not even noon yet, and they are calling about a bill for 16.00 dollars  Is there anything I can do to get them to stop calling me?

United Cash loans responded to my BBB complaint.

17 years 3 months ago
They said "We recognize your complaint as a form letter that is circulating the internet that is full of misleading information. Unfortunately we cannot honor the requests made by the consumer because they are not valid" What the heck? I'm not gonna accept that..no way.. I responded again with exactly what I was demanding and complaining about the first time that they are an illegal company that is not licensed to give loans to residents of my state or any state and that I am only obligated to pay the principal balance I originally borrowed and to please set up payment arrangements..
