I read that if you are represented by an attorney that FTC laws say all correspondence and calls must go to the attorney. Is that correct?

I was looking for the contact info, I believe this is an illegal payday loan company and need to send them a letter stating I only need to pay the prinicpal balance, thank you.

Hi, I live in Delaware - does anyone know if Integrity is a legal lender? And does anyone have an email or fax number for them. I am going to try to see if they will work with me to get my account paid in full. Thanks for any info.

i live in ri.i was contacted by tri-financial for a payday loan from cashnet that i defaulted.the loan was for 600.00.now the agency says i owe 1600.i settled with them for 1200.i gave them a check over the phone,but then i stopped payment on the check because i felt that charging me 100 percent was way to high.this lady addriane called my boyfriends parents told them i wrote a bad check and then she called my boyfriend and told him i wrote this check on a joint checking account with him which i do not have a joint checking account.when i called her back she was very abusive to me.she said she

I posted this in the US Tax system and Impact on debt forum. You can read more about it there and click on the link to view the complaints being made to the Consumer Affairs. I wanted to post about it here so more members and guests would see it. I can only assume that if this happening at H&R Block it may be happening at other tax companies that offer this same type of service. I wish this can be posted in more areas. Maybe a mod can make a sticky or something.

I was just wondering around the internet and I found these complaints on Consumer Affairs about the H&R block rapid anticipation loan (RAL). I just wanted to warn people that may use H&R Block and their tax services. It seems the rapid anticipation loans are being denied this year. It appears they are running a credit check before they give you the loan. With the economy the way it is many are being denied. People are losing hundreds in fees.

Hi All, We have seen that many community members have copied content from other site or from our own site and pasted it in the forums. We believe that they have done this just to share knowledge and help others in debt problems. However, we'd like to minimize such copy paste/duplicate content in our forums.

My husband has a school loan that is in collection agency and it is 8 years old. He is not even sure if it is his. Should this drop from his report or does he have to pay it. The letter came from State of Maryland Central Collection Unit. He also got a later stating that he his car was uninsured in Maryland for a year or so and he owes state $7000 (totally crazy) what can be done about that. It came from the same agency. His credit is so bad but all of this is 7-10 years old. Now he cannot even get $500 secure credit card. We need help.

My husband has a lot of really old stuff on his credit reports some as old as 1998. Each report states different things. His credit is really bad because of his past and were unable to fix it. At this point he has nothing in his name and he cannot even get a secure cc. In the past he got also rejected for Sunoco CC. I am not sure how to help him. My credit would be excellent if not a high ration to salary since everything is in my name. How can I clean his Credit Reports and what tools to use to fix his credit? Is it necessary to sign up for yearly membership with all three credit bureaus?
