Hello, I have some Payday installment loan debt that is drowning me financially and I cannot keep up with them any longer. I am trying to get enrolled in the Debt settlement program that is offered from the law group that the chat on this website directs me to, but I can't afford to do that until I can get these loans to stop debiting my monthly payments. Long story short, can't yet close the bank account I have (that these loans take payments out of) because I paid my rent for two months with a personal check, and have to wait for those checks to be cashed before I can close the account.

I received a Civil Summons/Complaint from Citibank NA attorney for a past debt that I owe. The only things they have attached is an Exhibit A showing a billing statement from May of this year and then filing costs for the complaint. There is no date for a hearing or anything it just states that I need to respond within 20 days of receipt of the Summons or judgement by default may be taken against me for the relief demanded in the attached complaint plus costs. I'm not sure what to do or who to contact about this. Do I need to contact Citibank or the Attorney for Citibank that is listed?
