Island National Group question

17 years 4 months ago
I got a letter before on this from Mitchel N Kay for my old Macy's account. Now I am getting it from Island National Group. It says if I make 3 payments equal to what is due over 3 months, Macy's will reinstate my account for the amount I owed and with a credit limit of $300, give or take a few dollars. I will have the money next month to take them up on this but was just wondering if it is a scam or not. I only owe a little over $300, they said they would put the account as paid and opened on my credit report for Macy's.

THe defendant is a resident of XYZ county, NC. 3.The defendant had an account with XYZ Company bearing the account number XXXXXXXXXXXXX2121. 4.

Debt validation after 30 days

17 years 4 months ago
I have a question about debt validation after 30 days from the original letter. From what I have read here after 30 days they are not required to validate the debt, so does that mean i have to wait for them to sue me to get the validation in discovery, or if I send the letter after the 30 days do they have to respond. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Collection agency is threatening to garnish wages

17 years 4 months ago
7 years ago I went through a debt consolidation company to have my debts paid. Even though I paid them thousands of dollars, they never paid off my debts, so for the last 7 years I have been paying those debts for a second time. Now I have another collection agency telling me that if I don't pay this debt (which supposedly had already been paid), they will garnish my wages. It has been 7 or more years. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Need PDL help - think I have all info posted

# List the companies you have the loans with and whether it is a store front operation or an internet operation. # List the original amount of the loan for each account # List what you have paid so far for each loan. # List what state you currently reside in. Hi everyone - first off, have to say this is a great service and thanks in advance to anyone who helps! I have been looking at PDL consolidation companies but I think I will pay too much in fees for it to be worthwhile. I live in Michigan. Here is what I have- Sagamore - Originally 250 - pd.

Creditor trying to sue me over a Discover card from 12 years ago

17 years 4 months ago
My brother's mother-in-law received a call from RSI Claims Process Service. They said that there was a civil judgement filed in my county. I called them and they said that this was for a Discover card. The Discover card was charged off 12 years ago. They said that every time the account is sold to a new creditor the statute of limitations starts over. I was so scared that I agreed to pay them $300 and then another $150 per month for 11 months. I haven't paid yet and I haven't signed anything. They did record me accepting the terms of the agreement. Do I still have to pay this now?

Powell, Rogers and Speaks

Can anyone fill me in on this CA? Have recieved two very abusive phone calls from them even after I instructed them that I would only respond to paper communication and was recording their calls. Have yet to see anything in the mail from them. They present themselves as a "law firm" but when pressed can only say that they "have" attorneys on staff. Any info would be helpful on these bullies. Thank you!!
