I am being threatened with civil suit and criminal charges for a payday loan I don't remember taking out in May of 2010, from a place called Cashnet USA, they are giving me until the 10th of Feb to come up with the so called balance of 650.00. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have got into a big trouble recently. It happened so that I gave out my date of birth, full name and address to scammers in the internet. So, now they know my date of birth, full name, address and obviously phone number. How serious can it be? How can they really use it? My husband says that as long as I haven't disclosed my SSN I should be fine. But I'm really scared.

They ask you to give your SSN, date of birth and other personal information. So now I am having doubts if it was a good decision, because maybe hackers can have an access to my information. And also I tried to call their phone number 8887660008, and the same story, they asked for my SSN. How safe is it?

A couple of months ago I took out a payday loan with Cashnetusa for a total of $694.09, including the fees. As of a couple days ago, my last payment of $144.46 is in default. I lost my job about two weeks ago and am unable to pay and Cashnetusa will not stop calling me. Is there anything that I can do?

I am so grateful for all of the wonderful information available on this site. I had been in Payday Loan hell until I found the site. I found the site just as I was about to sign a contract with Relief LLC to help me get from under my payday loans. I am so glad that I did some research into where internet payday loans were legal in Virginia.

I foolishly took out a payday loan with Everst Cash Advance after my car broke down. The loan was for 750.00. They deducted several payments from my checking acct until my company suspended all overtime. The next debit they made put my acct in the negative. Before my next check I went to my bank and placed what I thought was a stop payment on all further ach debits from everst cash advance. To my suprise because I did not have the amt of the debit exactly right they were able again debit my acct and again place my accout in the neg.

I guess they can because they have done it to me. We had some debt that was about to hit the SOL. The JDB now has it on my report and the way it looks is that it is brand new. It shows up as we owe xxx amount on the opening date in June, then it is reported each month as no payment made up until Dec where it is marked account in collections. In other words it looks like they started the sol clock all over again on an account that was just about to run out of clock. It does show XXX as being the original creditor but there is no reporting at all from the OC, no charge off, no account status.

So is there any way around this 1099-c form? and what happens if I don't claim it this year but I clam it next year?
