I have been pondering the problem of a 1099c for a while now. I am wondering if a settlement agreement can be worded differently, instead of wording it that the parties settle the debt, that the parties agree that while the alleged debt is due of so much money, that they agree the actual debt is (an agreed upon total). What I mean is an agreement is drawn up that a certain amount of money is all that is due and owed, and once paid, discharges the debt.

When I received my paycheck today, I discovered that unemployment garnished my wages for almost $200. This is for an overpayment in benefits from back in 2005. I owe just over $4,000, and can not afford to pay them almost $400 a month. Is there anything I can do besides file for bankruptcy? I was not served any papers, and did not receive any letters. Has anyone had any dealings with Cash Zone? They are a storefront in Texas. I borrowed $500 and have more than paid this amount in fees. I closed my account because i could no longer afford to pay it. They turned in over to Texas Credit Services, which is a total scumbag collection operation. I heard from them only twice, last time in November. The other day I got a phone call from their corporate office in Ohio from someone stating they are in the Fraud department and I need to call them right away!

I have several cash advance loans and need help. I've read several post and am getting a handle on my current nightmare however one place is going above and beyond in their collection tactics. I have a loan for $500 from Check into Cash. The guy from there calls several times a day and even comes to my home to try to collect. What can I do to stop this. He even has threaten to have me arrested for the bounce check.

i have i total of 8 payday loans 6 are store fronts and 2 are internet. the loans are for the amounts of 500 500 500 450 400 350 300 250 i live in Missouri. i was keeping up with the interest fees and borrowing them again but they were due toady and i don't have the money to pay. I'm so tired of this vicious cycle what should i do?
