I have spent so much time reading good and bad (mostly bad) about debt settlement companies. thought I would just share my experience with some of you. I never made up my mind to go with a company. I haven't paid on most of these cards for over a year and I was getting calls all day long. I have begun to settle with them one by and one. first discover card, then Capitol One and HSBC. I just tell them my situation, and how I can't afford to pay much, but I definately do want to work it out. The good is that they will settle, the bad is that yes it does affect my credit rating.

how can you find out if a pdl internet is legal in your state

I currently have 10 payday loans totaling 4100 including finance fees. Please please please help. I'm very interested in payday loan consolidation. I've come accross Money Now USA. They seem pretty legit. They are in BBB not accredited but they are in there with a B+ rating. I don't know what else to do. If there are any companies that are legit please share. Any information on how I can get rid of this nightmare will be very much appreciated. :D

Made the first step by closing my bank account, would like advice on what to do next. I logged on to both their websites and my loan status on both was PIF, one on the 6th one on the 7th. This is the ONLY sort of response i've gotten from them. no email, no letters nothin. Is this one of there tricks so they can debit my account when i'm least expecting it? I'm still holding out for a refund. i've even thought about asking for the previous loans i've had with them! :twisted: :lol: just kidding! They can't call me since I switched to using my magicjack and didn't give them my new number. Same with my refrences :lol:

ok so i was served with summons papers last night. i have not paid on the accoutn since july. i am a single mom and have been hit hard with having no money and not being able to pay all my bills. i called the company the papers were served from. the guy laughed at me, was rude, and be littled me. i am a mess because of it. i have to come up with 2500 by the end of the month and i know for a fact i can't. i have no one to borrow it from and money doesn't grow on trees. what are my options? i am a single mom and can't afford any more problems right now. PLEASE HELP!

they keep calling my cell phone asking for somebodyelse they being publiser clearinghouse need them to stop

I had a PDL with Ameriloan for 300$ and of course I ended up paying 975$ so this means I overpaid 675$. I live in Maryland and I know PDLs are totally illegal in my state. I tried to contact Ameriloan but obviously they never answered to my e-mails. So I went ahead and filed a complaint with BBB requesting a 675$ refund from Ameriloan. After a very long long time this is what Ameriloan replied to BBB: We have researched this account and feel all of the terms and conditions have been met.
