I think I have researched this but would like confirmation from anyone on this site. I live in NJ From what I have read I can record calls to/from a CA without informing the person on the other end....correct?

I was sued by a debt collector not once but twice, the first time it was dismissed without prejudice. The debt is not mine but they are trying really hard to make it look like it's mine so this time around I did the following... I served them with interrogatories and request for production of documents. Monday is the deadline for the POD's and I have not got a thing from them. The interrogatories they still have about 18 days left to answer and have not yet. What should my next step be?

Make a long story short. I have not paid anyone for 8-9 months. I have settled all my accounts with only 1 being charged off and then settled AMEX. I have my last card. CapitalOne. Balance is now 2400 and with 2 days till charge off 180days - at least that is what they say? They will not offer any settlement other than the original principal 1900. My question with 150 days late on my credit report should I let it charge off and settle for 30-50% or do I just suck it up and get on a hardship plan for 90 dollars a month at 13% till it is done with them reporting current after 3 payments?

I have sent my letters to 3B Financial & Little Loan Shoppe I also sent them copies of my complaints filed with the Missouri AG Office, BBB and Fed Trade Commision. When I log into LLS it says they have me scheduled for a payment on 1-15 for $150, 3B I think has locked me out. Can anyone advise on what timeframe they have experienced it taking PDLs to respond or how I can confirm they received the emails? The one thing I was not able to do this week is close my account, I am in the process to changing my direct deposit and giving legit bill's my new account number.

I posted a few weeks ago when I was still a guest (Lesley1020) - we have PD loans with PaydayOne, National Payday.com, mypaydayloan.com and paydaymax.com. First off, I found out that both National and mypaydayloan.com are based out of Costa Rica and are illegal. I do have the names they do business under and a mailing address if anyone needs this for any reason. I closed the account that these companies were debiting from.

Can anyone help me? I was recently issued a summons and need to answer to the court. The plaintiff is WESTERN ACQUISITIONS, LLC. There is an attorney for the plaintiff listed on the summons. The complaint shows the defendant's credit account number 4XXX originally held by Bank XXX. Defendant aggreed to the terms of the cardholder agreement as state by plaintiff's assignor and used the credit to obtain one or more items of value. Defendant is in default on this account On November 26, 2004 the amount owing to plaintif assignor was $1860.81.

How do I know if my summons is for small claims court? I guess I'm too dumb to figure this out myself. My Summons says "Associate Division Summons" The Front page of the Petition states: IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF ****** COUNTY ASSOCIATE JUDGE DIVISION STATE OF MISSOURI I'm trying to figure out if this is the same as small claims. I did some research on Small Claims Courts in Missouri.

I live in KS and have the following pdl: check city 567 check n go 575 cash central 567 cash net usa 555 pay day one 575 pay day max 830 My problem is that it takes my hole ck plus some to pay these off monthly, then i have to turn around and get loans again to pay my regular monthly bills. I need some help in getting out of this cycle. The amts are al current amts due this month. I am not currently behind on any , yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had 5 of these going plus Cash Call .. I used the advice in this forum and the outcome is that 2 of them marked my account PIF (ameriloan & paycheck today), I got an agreeable payment plan with cashnetusa (mailed my last payment today!). I got an agreeable payment plan with thinkcash. I am still working with one lender (payday one) and then I got a settlement offer from Cash Call. Under their contract I would have to pay 23 more 216.55 payments. They offered me 6 payments of $267. Anyone else gotten a settlement from Cash Call??
