Hi, I have contacted several companies that have been advertised on this web site. I owe approximately $25,000 and have visited this site often. I have been contacted by CareOne. They told me that my debt could be settled in approximately 4 yrs for approximately $650 a month. Their monthly charge is $45 a month which included in the fee. I would continue to receive my statements every month and could cancel at any time. This would be a debt consolidation, and my credit score should not be harmed. Since my husband is an authorized user, his credit score should not be hurt.

i have a few creditors ready to offer settlement at 50% but i am ready to join a debt consolidation rogram. is it better to pay off and have settled for less than amount on my credit report or join a program ? which will hurt my score more?

I am helping my friend out. I mentioned it before but we finally pulled his credit report and found 2 debt collectors on there. They have all the dates as current from 2008. It would appear to me they re-aged the debts. The date placed for collection shows up as 09/2008 on one and 2/2008 on the other. The first one is Associated Credit Services I did look up the company and have confirmed their information. What they are collecting for is astonishing.

I live in Florida and plan on filing Chapter 7 on my business in the near future. How complicated is this filing? Any help is appreciated.

I called my bank, and they assured me that with a closed account, the payday lenders would not get their money. The only form they told me about was a Stop Payment form. I then called the bank's processing dept. and they said not to worry about the lenders getting money out of the old account, which is closed, and they also said not to worry about them getting my new account info. I don't feel good about this.

I received a $500 payday loan from Geneva Roth Capital - they have taken $600 out of my checking account (4 payments of 150.00 each) and now they tell me that I have not paid anything toward my principal - as far as I am concerned I have paid them in full. I live in RI and any help you can give me towards not having to pay them anymore would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. I received a payday loan from Fastmoney and basically owe them 180.00 towards the principle. I know I owe them that much but they want all the fees and everything else. I've sent them several letters via e-mail and they keep responding with an e-mail similiar to this.
