Is being in the program a postive or negative for your credit rating and why.

Van Ru has been calling me threatening wage garnishment. They want 1500 upfront and 300 a month thereafter which is more than I can afford right now. Can they accept a monthly payment much smaller if they wanted to? Or do they have to take 30 percent like she told me they would??? Thanks

Are there any other options other than the EPP? My payments would exceed my unemployment check amount. I was just trying to get any info I could prior to my visit to their office today. Thank you all so very much, Nervous

After reading this web site, I have become inspired to try to fix some negative items on my credit report. I have a question about debt validation. If you didnt respond from the collection agencies within the original 30 days they sent collection letters, can you still make them validate the debt before you offer any settlments? Please advise thank you.

first. i am not late on anything. i owe about 39k. 33k to boa. 9.99% 4k to overdraft at 21.49% 1800 to lowes @ 0% then 5k on my biz cc which is maxed out. (i am not counting that as it's biz debt and no affecting my personal debt) i am looking at 33000 with boa. i am not late, but they closed my card last month & i need about 2k for my business or spend the money making my cc payment & not able to buy supplies for my biz. when boa closed my card it's left me screwed for my biz. i need 2k in supplies to last a few months esp so i can get ready for the spring.

I have been layed off. I have 3 store front check loans and I need help bad. I get unemployment, but it will not cover the fees. I have had these check loans for a while now. I mistakenly applied for too many online opayday loans. Things were going well and I was making the payments until fraudulent checks came through my account (supposedly for Platinum Services from Premier Financial - never heard of them and I didn't authorize it). Anyway, two checks came thru w/o my signature, my correct address, and with a check number of 7 digits - I'm still using a 4 digit check number).

I live in Connecticut and fell into the payday loan trap! Once the finance charges for my loans go through tomorrow my entire paycheck will be gone. I currently have 11 loans out and can not pay any of them off. There are 2 loans that I have paid the finance charge for over a year now and another loan that I have been paying on since February 2008. I need to know how to get out of this trap, I am a single parent and can not afford anything right now!!
