They sent me a letter dated Dec 15 for a dispute I filed in October (stamped certified mail card to prove it) Included was a letter with an address of the former MBNA bank, screenshots of a program with my name and a credit card number and a copy of a NAF judgement that Wolpoff Abramson had on me. No signed contract and no proof they are licensed to collect in my state, no proof the statute of limitations has not expired (debt is over 7 years old IIRC and in Texas 7 years is the statute of limitations). It doesn't sound like they held up their end on this.

They say there charging me with checking fraud because they say they have me on tape saying a check number and some other info but the names differnent, soc. is differnent, and addresses was wrong. They threaten to call the police. and that its a felony. I havnt even recieved a letter cause they sent it to some other address. They say i have till friday to call and tell them weather im paying or not before they turn it over.What should i do?

I received a letter from an attorney being retained by Discover. I sent the letter to a debt settlement company that I was dealing with. By the time I was notified that this debt settlement company was shut down for illegal practice, it was past the 30 days to respond to the letter. I didn't receive anything until today in my front door was a folder piece of paper from my county's sheriff office to call immediately regarding a civil suit. I'm panicking not knowing what to do next. Is it too late to send a DV letter to the attorney office?

How do I get them to stop debiting my account, I have racked up so many NSFs. How do I find physical addresses to these companies? I am at a loss as to what to do next.
