hi, i aapplied a few years ago on-line in MA, for a paperday check loan. $500. i never recieved this nor any bills. i have gotten a number of calls from legal mediation and Hand P capital. they were both rude and said they would have the police at my house or place of buisness if i didnt pay. H&P is out of FL. i don't know what to do . they keep saying they are going to take further action, but they don't even know when it was deposited into my account so i could find out the truth. someone please help me...

I posted yesterday about the email replies I got from sending them a C/D letter, and how they refuse to give me an address to mail a money order, and now they put me on the REFUSES to pay collections. Well I was originally writing to a man named Tim, but he must have been gone b/c I got replies from his email address but signed by a different employee. Well today I get an email from Tim, stating they can't get the money out of my checking acct. (I closed it) which I put that in the emails I sent YESTERDAY! And says please call him w/ correct checking info.

Does anybody know the fax # or billing address for macys credit card?

Question for those who opened an account online and the bank later closed it. Did you have transactions that were pending or had processed and how long after it was open did they close it?

We paid off the car loan of a relative whose car was taken to be auctioned off and had the title signed over to us. The second set of keys and key fob is missing. Both sets were turned over to the towing company before she was allowed to remove her personal belonging from the vehicle.

Anyone ever use this defense? If I had sent a Debt Collector a debt validation letter and never received a response and then 6 months later they file a lawsuit saying the account was mine could I use doctrine of estoppel by silence as a defense? Opinions.

I looked at my FICO score and for Experian it is a 548, I know pretty bad. I have about 12 accounts that are closed and in good standing. Does this lower my score? I have 10 accounts that are late, some are a charge off, If I pay them all off, will my score go up? Lastly I have debt collectors who looked at my credit report and I didn't authorize it, is that legal and does it lower my score? What is the best way to fix all this and raise my score and how much of an increase could I be looking at? Thanks in advance.

Hi, informative people, I have 6, 20 year old loans in default since 1994 (they were also in default sometime prior to 1994): 4 Stafford & 2 Perkins/NDSL. I have worked intermittently for years: approx. 6 mos. in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2003, and 4 mos. in 2007. I've been poor & own no property. I never applied for forbearance nor hardship deferrments. This year, I finally have a good income. The Dept of Ed. holds the 4 Stafford Loans, with principle, interest & penalties totalling about $11,000. They are willing to halve the interest for a lump sum payment of about $8500.00.
