Should you send a debt validation letter to a CA if you haven't received anything in the mail from them--you've only been contacted by phone? I told the woman on the phone I was going to need one and she insisted they didn't have the information and would have to send my debt back to the original lender.

Is it true if you dispute a claim on your credit report, and you hear no reply after 30 days, the bad claim has to be erased from your credit report?

OK I have discussed this before. I am being sued by an Unlicensed debt collector in my state, Massachusetts. The debt is not mine but they do not seam to listen. They think they can get around the law by hiring an attorney but the law says they cannot collect directly or indirectly. So in this lawsuit the attorney says they want production of documents, My SS number every bank account I have had for 10 years, every credit card, loan....everything and they want ALL account numbers. I think this is BS and has nothing to do with the case at hand.

Hi, I have four payday loans, all illegal. I live in Maryland and payday loans are illegal here. I have paid money on two of them and two of them I haven't paid anything. I already contacted someone at the Maryland Office of Financial Regulation and she told me contact her if any of the companies try to send me to collections. I also already sent out my cease and desist letters (at least 3 to each of the companies but they ignore them). So that is the backstory, my actual question is about a phone call I got yesterday.

I put a stop payment on this morning because I had a loanpayment coming out for tomorrow, but I had already gone in and paid cash so they shouldnt have submitted my pre auth debit form but they did this evening so now my account is in the negative and i have money going into my account at midnight, I am just wondering if i submitted the stop payment soon enough or will the money i am expecting go towards my negitive which will leave me with pretty much nothing

I have 2 PDLs online ameriloan borrowed $350. Paid the rollover fee of $105 four times, then paid $155. and the next month $140 for rollover fees plus pay down by $50. For a total of $715. Usfast cash borrowed $400. paid rollover fee of $120. four times for a total of $480. I live in Montana where I'm pretty sure these 2 companys are illegal. Mt does not accept rollovers and loans cannot be for over $300. I am a single disabled mom of 2. I get SSI and child support to get through the month. Lately child support has been hit and miss (mostly miss).

My wife and I had 5 CCs with approximately 80k in total balances. Through the kindness of a family member, we've been able to settle 4 of the 5 CCs. The only firm that seems unwilling to discuss settlement is U.S. Bank (US Bancorp, not the US National Bank fraudsters). We've had nothing but runarounds, lies, and threats from this organization.
