what happens to your fico score and credit report with going into a hardship program?? pls help..

I have a defaulted student loan amount of approximately 1500$ (about 10 years old, been through multiple agencies and treasury offsets)and GC Services on behalf of USAFUNDs is trying to collect. I called them and the rep told me its too small to qualify for rehab but under William D Ford I could make 4 monthly payments (If I qualify???) and have the negative credit lines expunged from my credit report. She stated that I would then pay the original Sallie Mae any difference left on the balance and once finished it would show payed as agreed on the credit report.

If you are upside down in your house and plan on doing a ch7 for credit card debt, what happens to the house? Do you just walk away from the house/mortgage/unpaid taxes??

How can I pay for multible tickets that add up to about $7000 and are holding up my liscense in 2 diff. counties

I had my bench trial today with arrow financial services who were represented by Blatt, Hasenmiller, Liebsker and Moore. They hired a local attorney for all of the 3 dates I went because I am not in the Chicago area. The OC was Washington Mutual. They called every day demanding money and I was about to pay them until i stumbled on to this site and got advise from you smart people. I stayed up practically all night mounting my defense and when I showed up, the lawyer said they didn't send him any paperwork. He wanted to dismiss without prejudice.

I got a letter from FIA Card Service, I guess that's the collection part for B O A, they offered to settle at 40% of $4000, is that a good deal. It also says in the letter that the account is scheduled to be written off as a bad debt this month, so what happens then? I haven't made payment sine May, I'm just wondering what will happen if I don't respond and accept this offer...thanks

I read an article where the FDIC discussed banks offering alternatives to pd loans with small personal loans with a cap of 36%. I have searched the internet looking for the banks that offer these loans but no luck. Does anyone know of any such lender? TIA

I am looking for a debt managemnt program, however, most of my debt is secured debt. I need to be able to consolidate everything into a more manageable monthly payment.

I have two credit cards from the same lender on my account with the same amount with two different account numbers. The problem is I only had one card with the company and I paid it off. however , One says I paid it off the other says it was transferrd to a collection agency. I called the original credit granter and asked if I ever had two account with them and if they could give me the account number. They stated that I only had one account and that they could not give me the account number because the agency had it. I then called the agency. They claim I made payments.
