I have a few credit cards that are maxed out and the interest and over the limit fees are literally taking over. I make a payment and it literally disappears. It's as if I never paid anything. I gave up on my Chase card and now my minimum payment is $1010!!! And I've only missed 4 payments of $60!!! And my balance is $8000. Is this insane or what? I know that I should be paying this so I am not looking fo sympathy but I called once to see if they could work with me and they said I owed them this money and they wouldn't waive a thing. TRUE...

quick question, old Cap1 debt. Not out of SOL in Okla acct placed in July with united recovery systems I sent DV to them, no response. Sent 2nd certified. Nov. 2008, suit filed in tulsa, ok court from Love Beal & Nixon, on behalf of Cap 1 - I have NOT been served yet Never knew the acct went to Love Beal & Nixon until suit filed, no previous letters, calls...etc.

Does the SOL start completly over for the Collection Agency once they take over the account?

i owe them 32k. never was late except last month when i tried to set up an online thing and the payment was late. so they raised interest to 28% from 9.99. i got on the phone and they lowered it back. cool. so i go online today to set up my december payment and i can't pay it. i call and they said they closed it because i owe so much and my income is not high. now my credit is going to show that they closed the account. i said i'd like to open it up and then close it myself ebcause it looks bad for them to close it and they said pfff ...

what is the time limit a payday loan can be collected on? this 1 is 5yrs old

What does this term mean?

Okay I think that alot of people are like me and just cannot afford high credit card payments anymore. I have 3 cards that I have been unable to make even the minimum payments. They say I am in default. So now even if I was offered a great settlement offer, the money isn't there. Credit score is ruined pretty much so what is the main difference between these options? I know collection calls will probably double. I am leaning toward BK, just because as much as I would like to be able to pay SOME of this debt, my nail business is such that with things like they are I will never catch up.

How long does SOL last? If you owe Capital One, then they are on your credit report, then if they sell it to CA then both are on your report. Does the CA last longer since they started later?

Okay...here is the story...DH and I paid a settlement in Feb of 07'..we just received a phone call saying that it was bought by Allgate and then sold to Praxis for collection. They say that what they have is stating that we paid the settlement but we paid it in April of 07' when we really paid it in Feb. So basically they are trying to collect the remainder since we paid the settlement amount. I have a call into my old bank to find the check/statement that says we paid in 07. What happens if they can't find it?

Sorry if this is a repost, I didn't see that my last had posted. My question is what happens if companies refuse to work with whom I hire. Do my wages still end up garnished and me getting harassed anyhow? Has anyone worked with any of these companies? Any info appreciated.
