Hi, Hopefully someone here can help me make some good decisions that will benefit my family. Two members of my family were recently contacted by a law firm in Arizona saying their was a summons for me to appear in court. I am living the UK so there isn't much I can do. However, the card is one I lost track of and tried to deal with but lost track of it. The law firm says they tried to contact me at old addresses, but I have no proof of this. I told them I would try to gather the money to pay.

I am being sued on an account that is past the SOL.I filed my answer to the summons and included SOL with answer as a defense.(I have proof it is past SOL.) Now what happens? Will I still have to actually GO to court or will the judge read my SOL defense and dismiss it? Case is mandatory non-binding arbitration, does this make a difference? Is SOL enough to have case dismissed?

I have this company on my credit report, and am trying to find out who they are, but can't seem to find them on the internet or BBB. I have them listed as Ashland Enterprises Limited located at 50 California St, San Francisco, CA 94111. I need a telephone number, e-mail address or website. Anything will help. Thanks!

I have 2 companies on my credit report for Experian when I look tonight. Unistates Credit Agency is the first one. They have never contacted me and it says on my credit report, " unable to locate consumer" LOL I have been at the same address for 31 years. I seen about them going bankrupt and I disputed it so do you think it will get removed this time? midland credit management is the other company. They sent me a letter 6 months ago. I sent a DV letter the same day and they never responded.

Confused. I have also read 3 versus 6 years for SOL on credit card debt. Which is it? 3 years or 3 years.

So if I tell all my PDL's to stick it, then how long before they can get a wage garnishment, does this happen quickly or are there procedures they must go through in Iowa? I ask this because we have about 15k coming in Feb between tax return and student loans and plan to pay all loans in full then anyhow.

I have a 3200 collection in NC from Chase- sold to Pinnacle Credit Services- Heckler Law Firm in NJ sent a letter in September... (first attempt). Within 30 days, I sent a debt valadation to both Pinnacle and the Law Firm (this was on Oct 7)...I havent received a return letter or call since. What should I be expecting? What are my options as of now. My SOL is up in February. Please advise. Happy Holidays and thanks so much.
