Nationwide (888-913-2337)

17 years 5 months ago
I am called several times a week, sometimes 4x in the space of two hours, by a company from the number 888-913-2337. When I pick up, half of the time I get a hangup. Another 48% of the time, they respond and I ask what this is in regards to. They hang up. A few times, they have mentioned me being in debt to Washington Mutual for a "very small amount", but they quickly hang up. Once, I talked to a guy more in depth. I told him I have never done business with Washington Mutual (they only entered my geographic market two years ago).

Indiana Store Front payday loans

17 years 5 months ago
I need help quick! I took out a payday loan at Allied cash advance and paid on it a few times. Because of me paying on it a few times my husband went to the same store and took one out. I have not been able to pay on his at all. My check has now been sent tothe bank on a closed account and they are stating that they will be sending his in to. They tell me that they can not work with us. We have never paid on his yet. What can I do? Can they take us to jail for the check that we gave them for my husbands? What happens next? I did not mean for this to happen, we just keep getting hit hard.

Dear community~ Alright, so, as you've read with my title, I've got a bit of a problem. No, not just a regular Debt Collector.. NCO Financial Group. From what I've read, they're not just a regular debt collector, these guys are Evil. Anyways, I'll explain my situation a little clearer, now. I know, I know, this is an American Forum (I realized with the sign-up form.) I know, I'm a Canadian Citizen, but--I don't think much of what I'm asking has much to do with the fdcpa / SoL.

Letter from Lawyer - Lawsuite - What Can I do?

17 years 5 months ago
Back in 2002, when I was still a student, lost job and ended up defaulting on several credit cards and never paid on them. Later, I moved from CT to WI. All of a sudden, I received a letter today from a lawyer on behalf of Midland LLC trying to "collect debt." The letter claims that I owe "$2600" for Midland. I don't even know which one of the credit cards that might have been.

AMEX, Chase, BofA, BMW Credit Card - $125K in debt - HELP !!

17 years 5 months ago
Hi there - I am new to this board and I love all of your posts and your wonderful advice!! I have decided to settle with my card companies - I have been out of work for 6 months and am now losing two houses (one was a rental) to short sales here in California (I think that is the best way to handle rather than foreclose as I couldn't sell them in a regular fashion since they are worth way less than I owe on them and I can no longer afford them) and, even though I am in the IT field, I cannot find a job right now - bummer !! I am looking WAAAAAAAY hard though!!

Can I still get my money back ?

17 years 5 months ago
I was scammed almost 2 wks ago and I have to give $750.00 for they said security deposit for a personal loan that I applied for. They want another 300.00 cuz my credit was very bad, so I told them never mind I just want my money back, and I was told w/in the 10 days or earlier my money will be back, but nothing happen. I did complaint in the consumer complaint website and the BBB. I was very upset and stressed because that is the money for my car payment. Thought people will give me a second chance to pay all my credit/payday loans.

I have noticed others who have had a PDL called Payday Yes continuing to make automatic debits. I have the same problem. I am in Nebraska. Is anyone aware of laws or processes that I can use to help get me out of this mess?
