My wife has been working with a debt consolidation company, Compass Credit, for about a year and a half now. She has been paying them $350/month during this time. I also gave her $3500 to add into the account. She can never get a hold of them on the phone and they don't return her calls. When she does call, they tell her that they are trying to settle her debts, and they have settled 3 of the smaller ones.

I CANT FIND THE RATES AND TERMS

Im not sure which would be best suited for me, maybe you guys could provide some insight. my situation; Debt: $20,000 credit card debt Credit Score: 680 because of high debt amount, no delinquencies, everything up to date.

I see a TON of posts about which debt settlement companies "Not" to use and information discrediting certain agencies. Can You guys please post your success stories and PLEASE SPECIFY which company you used. These stories dont necessarily have to be complete but companies that have treated you right, so far. oh my god. who has delt with paychecktoday. i called to ask for assistance because i'm going to default on friday. i just wanted to give them a heads up and work out some type of arrangment so i can make it right. at this point my loan is still current but they transfered me around to some big burley lady in collections who told me i was unbelievable and rediculous. so when i finally got a chance to explain myself she says "you need to call me back first thing tomorow morning, its time for me to go" wtf?

Hi I've been reading info on this site. I have 13 payday loans and im sinking fast. Our last paycheck was in the bank by 6am by 830am we were -$60 I dont know what to do. From reading i see you ask the names of them and the amounts i will have to get that info together..some are cashnetusa-$1050, oneclickcash-$450, paydayloanyes-$400,ameriloan-$500,eastsidelenders-$600,unitedcash-$300 and the list goes on. Im going to have to call or go to my bank to try and close or freeze this account. because now by the time their done we cant pay any bills or buy food.

Does debt settlement actually work? Every debt settlement company has bad ratings with the BBB. Seems like debt management Programs (DMPs) are the only legit options. But with these the entire balance is paid back just with lower interest in 1 bill... as opposed to a negotiated lower settlement. Please help!

In college no job..Was offered a settlement to pay off credit card, if I accept the settlement will it be seen as a paid just as if I paid the orginal balance but late? Help! I was 120 days late already, I will need to do a student loan to pay this...but wish to do the right thing.

Anyone have success with them? They will not budge and I am 20 days away fron a Charge off?
