Well, now I'm really upset. We got served today by LHR,INC they are represented by Abendroth & Russell. Back in June we were contacted by LHR, we fired them off a dv letter CNRRR and in August we get a letter from this Abendroth and Russell. They told us they were representing the LHR and we had until such and such date to cure the default of $962. Well we wrote them back telling them we couldn't pay full balance at one time and would like to make payment arrangements. They then wrote back accepting our payment arrangements but they wanted us to sign a Confession of Judgement.

I have learnedfrom reading on some of the post that internet lenders must be licensed in the state of mississipp.. can anyone elaborate on what it means if the pdl companies are illegal..any info on where i can find if company is license in mississippi

I have seen a number of posts about pdl disclosures (typically located on their websites or in their contract) stating if you agree to the terms you are agreeing to their terms regardless of what the law in your state says. Do these hold any legal water? And, if a pdl is doing business illegally in your state what is their a response you can give them when they throw that back at you? I've seen a number of posts about pdls saying that...but no response to give.

My daughter is struggling to pay her student loans and has one that is going up dispite timely payments and extra payments because the interest rate is so high. What can she do to consolidate, replace and/or reduce her payments?

I was reading about someone having too many payday loans and I was thinking to myself, I am not alone. I have several payday loans and for some reason I can't seem to get ahead. If anyone have the answer, I would appreciate it. Jeri19

Should i be worried if CA's stop calling, I now this sounds weird, but from early October until 2-3 weeks ago I had two seperate CA's calling daily now nothing for several weeks, is this a bad sign or do they move on to someone else for awhile and then get back to me? I know I should be grateful for no calls, but I am worried bad news is coming. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I recently found these boards and have been paying on a payday loan with Upfront Cash since 3/2008. I have been paying rollover fees every 2 weeks and that is illegal in my state (Michigan). I knew nothing about the laws until I came here. My original loan was $600 and I have overpaid them by $1180.00. It makes me sick to think of all the money they have gotten from me!

below is my dilemma. Between rent, utilities and afterschool program costs I can't afford to pay these back any longer. As of this morning my account is now overdrawn. $500.00. I do have a backup checking account with another bank. thank god, because now im going to have to have my direct deposit go into that account. But now I have to face these people hunting me down for thier money. I don't even know where to begin to take care of all these loans. Any advice?? what can the store front people do to me legally. The internet ones I'm not so much worried about.
