Hi All, Well, my court date is today. To recap, I'm being sued by a CA on an old debt from 5 years ago (or so). I had hoped when I never offered to settle they would drop this, but that never happened. I'm still hoping the CA is a no show. They're located 4 hours away, but if they have several cases scheduled today, they'll probably show just for the defaults. I did request a continuance last week but the judge denied that. So, what should I do when this goes before the judge?

How can you go about finding out if you have a verizon bill from like 4+ years ago? Is there a site you can type in your name and check against addresses you've lived at and see?

Has anyone taken a "micro loan" yet from the storefronts in Ohio? I am due to pay back next week. I know I'll have to reloan, and I know that at least two of the pdls (ACE Cash Express and Cashland) have now gone to this new loan type - just wondering what the process is like, and how much to expect for the fees. Well hello everyone. Seems that between my spouses medical problems and some good old fashion bad luck I find myself here looking for advice. We're not missing payments on the CCs yet but having recently lost my job of 15 years due to this current mess we're in and my wife not able to contribute in the near future it could end up that way. Currently my CC debt is 13k, I have been able to keep up with the payments but I have absolutely no room to breathe. One thing goes wrong and the house of cards will fall down.

Can creditor who won judgment against me FORCE me to sell the house I'm living in with my father, the mortgage and title are jointly owned by us together, but I am the only debtor, my dad doesn't owe the credit card company.
