I've got Bonwit-Teller showing up as an open account with a zero balance and no activity since 07/03. The payment history given on the report (as of 07.03 is all 1's). The phone number to contact the creditor given on the credit report is not a working number. I want to close the account, any suggestions? Thanks, Karyn

I want to know how long does it generally take for the consolidation process to begin

that you are filing bankruptcy? I just started getting p hones calls about these debts and I will be filing soon. Do I wait till it has been filed or do I tell them now?

I just was served a summons from Foxwood Financial. The summons states no court date, however it states that a default judgement will be placed unless I respond with a motion within the next 30 days. The complaint states that I used the card from 6/01-9/02 and is requesting the full balance + 24.4 per annum. This debt came when my ex-wife and I separated and she filed for a bunch of credit cards in my name. At the time, I contacted the credit cards companies and I haven't heard a thing from them until this time.

Anyone invested with them? I did and am looking to find others as there are problems there.

I talked to Chase last week and they only offered me 6% interest over 60 mos. at 100% of the debt - wouldn't even take off the interest that accrued since I last used it 6 mos ago. I am about 90 days past due. I have been trying to get an answer on here as to whether folks think they will go lower or not. They also wanted access to my checking acct and I wouldn't give it so they said it was a deal breaker. Any ideas?

My 20 yr old son rec'd not 1, but 6 "Priority Gram" collection letters in various amounts ranging from $47.29 to $6691.71 for "Shop At Home." Problem is he's NEVER bought anything from a shopping network. He doesn't own a credit card yet, and he can't stand those shows. He only watches sports shows. I don't know how they got his name and address and feel a scam is taking place. My son and I are pretty angry about this. Has anyone ever heard of CPS Security? Who should I contact to report this?
