I have 10 pdls 3 are store front and rest are internet, I live in Orgeon. I'm closing my checking account, stopped dirtect depoist, and will set up repayment, I affraid that something bad is going to happen to me, am I doing the right thing because I don't what eles to do. I Cant afford legel help.

I have a small trucking co that is doing bad. Most of my debt is from that. 52K in equipment that is really upside down. 70K credit card debt (50K is from BOA, I think they are settlement friendly) I am about 80 days late on everything. No other assets. Live in Texas. What would be the best between these two. I am 29 and want to go to college after this and go on to get a good job. So I am somewhat worried about my credit report. What would be better in this case, chapter7 or working on settling these?

Not everyone has access to fax machines, and a lot of people don't want to use their fax machines from work. Just as a tip, I used efax.com to do all my faxing. You can sign up on their website for a 30 day free trial ... fax all your c&d letters ... and then cancel the service before being charged. Just in case anyone out there was having trouble getting to a fax machine. Using efax, you don't have to worry about the pdl companies sending back faxes to your work. It is very convenient.

Vikas, with the rising foreclosure and mortgage crisis around the U.S. Could we start a new forum for those debtor that may need a place to go for advice, friendship etc? Or am I missing it when I search the forums? I actually can't help with the forum because, (can't believe I'm saying this) I'm a renter and not effected by this crisis. Somehow I misplaced the name of the company. There is a debt relief Co. in Southern California that only requires you pay AFTER the debt is settled. Which one is it? thank you~ 8)

I received a default judgment in the mail today. My husband and I had to quit paying our credit cards because our mortgage went up significantly about a year ago, and his mother is unable to work (waiting on disability) so we are paying her mortgage and power bill as well. Our property is in my husband's name only. The only thing I have in my name is an old car and my name is on our checking account. We have no extra money to make payments on this judgment. I want to know what they can do to try and get this money.

How does consolidating my credit cards effect my credit score?

Hello, I've faxed and emailed all C and D letters except I have not email Discount Advances and PaydayMax, although I have faxed them. Any help is appreciated
