In 1988 & 1989 I borrowed 19K in gsl, at somewhere between 9 & 10 percent interest. When I grad in 1990 my payments were around $900. a month. I never earned enough money to pay that amount. Since 1990 I've been very careful to not incure any more debt. In 1992 I saved up and paid $1300. At one time, but found it was applied toward interest only, so I stopped trying to save up. But as the interest and penalties have compounded on the unpaid balance, I now owe around 60K. I'm just one of lifes’ losers. My income has not gone to pay for a high life. I've barely survived since 1990.

i have several pay day loans that are now eating up my paycheck and making me fall behind on bills what can i do

about 1 month ago i was getting bombed at work with calls from a man with a huge accent stating that i was being picked up to go to jail for fraud. I called the local police and had them run my record - clean - had them take the number down on the person calling me just so that it was on record. long story short...i got a call today from the same number. It is a local Cincinnati number...but the number being left is a number out in Colorado - the voicemail left at my office as that i was going to lose everything - i was going to jail and i was going to lose my children.

I am a 64 year old woman with no health ins., with enough money to live comfortably now. I do not want credit cards. The debt I owe is 8 years old. Recent circumstances make it imparitive that I buy or rent a 4 bdrm house for daughter I recently located after 6 yrs for to keep her 3 children and move back home to my area. I can do this now but I know I would have to spend 20,000 of retirement money. My grandson (9) has post tramatic stress disorder and has been hospitalized 3 time in the last 4 years. My other daughters ask me not to pay off debt.

Has anyone heard of this group or been on their website? They offer a Financial Hardship Package for $29 that they claim can help you get of garnishment. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth it?

Can somebody tell me what a reasonable settlement offer I can expect to make for my portion of medical expenses for some out-patient surgery? In percentage terms that is. My plan is 70/30, leaving me with a larger amount that I would have ever guessed.

Hi and thank you for all the great advise! I have been current on all my payments for as long as remember, however due to divorce and a huge alimony payment my take home income has been reduced to 25%. I have 3 major CC debts. On one I have to pay 550 per month. I do NOT have the cash flow any more. Shall I stop paying them in order to get their attention about financial hardship? I have called already and closed the account. They say they are unable to "help" me. So the question is: should I stop making payments? Any advice is appreciated. P.S.

When settling am I required to supply a Statement of my income to the lawyers that I'm settling with? It seems so intrusive. I thought that they should consider it on the merits of what I'm offering please advise

Can you file on Payday 14 payday loans all of them are 300.00 or less and they are all 70 days old? I heard you cannot file on cash advances of $750.00 and 90 days old. I thought this applied to cash advances from Credit cards. Most cash advances from payday loans would more likely be more recent because you get caught up in redoing the loan over and over. Please help!

What experience's have you had with this company? They were recommended to me and when looking at the BBB they don't have any complaints, are based in San Diego, CA, and also shows no number and has 1 employee? Im assuming it shows one employee because they don't have enough information on this company. Any input is welcome.
