I got a settlement deal with Van Ru Credit Corporation. Are they a reasonable and legit debt settlement company?

just a quickie question. I have both private and federal loans. The federal loans right now are on deferment because I'm in school but I'm paying back the private ones. When the time comes for paying back the federal loans, if necessary can i file for income sensitive payments because I pay so much on my private loans?

Hey if the credit collector was a 3rd party colletor and he made a threat to an exact time that the audit would be performed, then call him on it. Get legal council, under section 807-5 of the f.d.c.p.a. he cannot make a statement unless the action is intended at the time the statement was made. This is worth some money for sure.( from a certified collector).nail them on it..

Does the above document need to be signed by an attorney or a notary public to make it legal?

I have several loans with online lenders...all of them located in different states and one even overseas. I have followed the recommended steps closed my bank account, and sent out letters to all of my lenders. I am still getting harassed and threatened with legal action, however. Several of them have responded, and are telling me that I am wrong about them having to follow Ohio state laws since this is where I live. I can't find the actual statute or law that says this. I would love to have documentation to send them...can you help?

OK guys - here's my story: I was stupid and gave my now ex-girlfriend access to my checking account, I know - like I said it was stupid. She did two PDLs thru USFastCash and OneClickCash without my knowledge. Ive only recently found out about this when the calls from the bank and the aformentioned companies started. My bank closed my account when all this started. Apparently once the funds were in my account she withdrew them. We had talked about doing this but I thought we'd decided against it. Anyways, it happened. I've researched a little here but am looking for advice.

I have also heard from Joseph Pezzuto Law Firm. They also told me I had to pay by this Monday. 5 days after I have heard from them. They also had the nerve to call three of my family members before attempting to contact me! I asked thenm to send me a letter so I had something in writting, they said they already had, but then an "offive mgr told me that they had just recievd my file?!? I have been trying to correct my debt problems, but are afraid that they can now garnish my wages. Were do I stand legally?

Hello all My wife and I have been overcome with credit card debt. Currently we have aprox $110k in CC debt, the accounts are current at the moment. We are finally tapped out of spare income such saving, stocks ect..... to make the minimum payments. I was able to consolidate all of my debt into a single loan but the interest is fairly high @ 16%. the rest are 14-18% and one at 28% for being a week late on a payment. As you could say we finally hit rock bottom and realize our mistakes.

I'm not sure if I should do debt settlement or consolidation, but I'm fairly sure I won't get a consolidation loan. Any advice on settlement companies?
