Greetings all, About 30 minutes ago, I received a threatening phone call from United Processing out of Jacksonville, FL. They said they have a court case filed with my county's DA office about a bad check I wrote to Cash N Go for $400 dollars back in May. They are asking $1050 to terminate this case. They gave me only 1 hour to pay back the full amount thru MoneyGram. Cash N Go is a local storefront who actually filed a civil case for $550 of which I did not contest.

I'm new to the site. I have a few outstanding PDL's. They were from the internet. I paid quite a bit to them, but they still say I owe because I paid interest only and did not pay them down. How do I know if any of them are illegal? If they are illegal, what can I do to stop it all? None of them are taking out of my current account. I switched banks once I realized they would not stop, no matter how much I contacted them or tried to make other payment arrangements. I'm in Michigan if that makes a difference.

Has anyone had any experience with phone calls at work after defaulting on pdls? We have a couple pdls at storefronts in Va. I am ready to close my checking account and open a new one however we are afraid the lenders will harrass my husbands work.

I posted this in the debt consolidation forum, but I should've posted it here: I've seen posts related to my issue. However, I'm still in need of help. My bank account is frozen. The court date isn't until Nov 5th. In the meantime, I have no funds. They froze it due to a credit card in my husband's name and we have a joint checking account. My questions are: 1 What are the chances of the judge taking everything in the account for this $18k that my husband owes. 2a what exactly is the wildcard exemption for IL? 2b Can I make the $3500 in the bank totally exempt based on that?

I have a pdl from loan point for for $400 they have been taking out $120 bi weekly since May without paying down the loan at all. It is killing me is there anything I can do. I am located in California? this is the only pdl I have left and can't afford to pay them off.

I live in new york state and i had default two payday loans can i be arrested for this? I' m trying to paid but it is very difficult right now

Has anyone heard of this "firm" or know anything about who they supposedly represent? They're bugging the daylights out of me, but have such thick accents, I can't make out much, if anything, of what they say. They all claim to be "Officer" something-or-other. Claim that I'm not legally entitled to any of the supporting documents I've requested, claim I'll be arrested...the usual. Just wondering if anyone has info on them...thanks! (Some days I think this will NEVER end...)

Hey Guys, My credit report could use some sprucing, but altogether it's decent. What I want to know is- there are a few places that say they can report your rent payments to the bureaus and that it can help your credit score. RentReporters.com is an example. I think that's a fantastic idea, but i'd like to know if it's real. It certainly should be. Has anyone else done this? Thanks!
