My daughter took out a payday loan over a year ago to pay her rent, she had to borrow from another to pay them back and then another and another in ohio. She has tried to set up payments in small amounts that she can afford and they refuse to take her money, now they are threatining to take her to court. What can she do?

If you can't pay the payday loans in full, what steps do they take next? Can criminal charges be put against you?

I have a question.. I'm currently going through the debt settlement process and I'm only 4 months into the process. My question is on $70K of debt and it was was about to settle at 50% of the debt, I would have to claim $35K as additional income on my taxes?

Last month a got a call from a robert mullas from NCO demanding 5k for a credit card that was charged off over 7 years ago. This guy told me that if i do not pay or agree to this debt they will report it to the police, then i will have problems. He told me i used the card, bought merchandise and failed to pay for it, this is theft and it is a felony. I hung up the phone and changed my #. I have a old credit report showing this is charged off in 2000. This is not even on my current credit report.

I am a guy that pays all of his bills on time all my life. I take pride in that, but today i just got a letter from a debt collection agency .......... to violate some form of law? If I close my bank account casue i couldnt pay my loans is that criminal intent? loans through cahs call and p d loan with cash net usa

I am looking for information on whether internet PDL's are legal in Maryland. I have several outstanding PDL's which were all being paid on until I had a snafu with one of them double debitting my bank account on for the full amount of the loan, which has sent me into NSF nightmares and hassles dealing with the companies when trying to work out payment arrangements I can reasonably afford to keep. Any information would be appreciated!

I have around 8 pdl loans. How can I get them to stop taking money out of my account and just send them money for the amount that I owe. I have made some big mistakes by going with the pdl loans and I need the money to stay in my account so I can pay my rent, utilities and food. I can not close my account right now as my payroll is direct deposit. I just need to stop the twice monthly withdraws that are almost as much as what I owe. Please help

I noticed a Checkngo store front pdl drinving home today from work, I just checked the list of licensed pdl's for the state of AZ and I dont see them listed? Does anyone know if they go under a different name? If they are not listed on the licensee data base how can they run a store front?

if a case is dismissed because papers could not be served can they sue you again?
