Not sure where to post this qustion...I know lots of us have fallen on hard times, however I'm guessing others of us have a real spending problem. I was just curious if anyone has ever went to a debtors anonymous meeting and what you thought of it?
In our wealthy town, people stop paying their mortgages for a while and continue to live in the house. When eviction gets closer, they make a couple of payments and the whole foreclosure process begins again. Have you heard of this? One neighbor lived practically mortgage free for 4 to 5 years by doing this and then sold the property for a profit when prices rose, paid off the entire loan and bought a larger house the next time, repeating the process. They made sure to pay local property taxes but that was it. Ever heard of this?

I need some advice. I have a somewhat massive credit card debt situation (massive for me the single mother) and I have ignored it for the last 2 years. I am wondering if there is any way to make it right this late in the game and where do I start?
I was just wondering what do you tell the Attorney Generals office when you contact them? I live in PA and just sent all my letters out and closed my bank account.
I was contacting from a company by the name of united national legal investigation, the man that i spoke with called himself Officer Williams, he stated that i owed $855. to a pay day loan company but he would not give me any information about the company or even the name of the lender, all he kept saying was that the companies 26 lawyers were ready to file a case against me for bank fraud and check fraud because i never payed back the loan, and my bank account has since been closed.
Hi,
I have been having problems paying off a debt from Bally Total Fitness because they would never call me, they would call my parents. They would never accept small payments, only huge amounts such as $300. Therefore, the debt never got paid. It was just reported on 9/15/08 as a Charge-Off, which I'm not entirely sure I understand quite yet. On 10/15/08, I was contacted by Asset Acceptance offering me to pay off my Bally with a $100 payment now and $130 on 11/10/08.
