I'm not sure where I can find this, but is there an article that says how much of your income from wages is exempt for New York? A debt collector who had sued me and won sent me a letter telling me to let them know what income I have that is exempt. The only income I receive is from my self-employment and that is only approx $500 month. I don't get paid through payroll, I receive personal checks and I keep a log of that. What can I write or tell them about how little I make?

I am scheduled to meet with my legal aid office in 2 weeks. They said you have to attend a workshop and then if you are eligible, an attorney will prepare the paperwork. Has anyone here filed for bankruptcy through a legal aid office? How long will this whole process take?

Has anyone had experience using New Beginnings, LLC out of Florida?

If their web site & e-mails say this: Loans are offered by First Bank of Delaware, a federally regulated state financial institution not affiliated with ThinkCash. ThinkCash does not grant or deny credit with respect to these loans. All loans are subject to credit approval. How are they the original creditor? Wouldn't that be First BofDE? And CashCall for that matter! They say the same thing. I'm just not getting it.

I CAN'T AFFORD TO STAY IN THIS PITHOLE AND TAKE CARE OF MY KIDS TOO. I NEED HELP AND ANY WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

I am wondering how to close my bank account. I can not pay them. I have 9 payday loans out.

Has anyone ever had a call on their caller id that just says "0?" Whoever it is, has called my home # a total of 24 times today, but they don't leave a message. I realize that scammers can "spuff" a number to make it look like they are calling from somewhere else, but just having the number 0, has got me bugged. I guess it can also be some lo-life collection agency that is trying to collect on a debt that is included in my bankruptcy :evil: It's like they don't understand that bankruptcy protects me.

Need advice on getting rid of payday loans?

Are there any other RE Profs that are sinking under debt and also not able to find jobs?
