Hi there, I have about $16000 in debt to credit card companies, and have already been contacted by collection agencies. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to a good debt consolidation company? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

I am not in trouble yet, but i will be by the end of the month. i am afraid I will loose my credit rating, my car and eventually my home. I have had to go further into debt just to pay my debts. I feel like there is no end to this. Is there really help out there? Or are these debt relief companies just out to make a quick buck off of those already in trouble? Those companies I have contacted so far seem to be the "make a quick buck and screw the persons credit" variety.

I thought I had gotten rid of these guys. Unfortunately, I got a call again today from someone named Jason saying he as collecting for Quik Payday. It was the same old message ... urgent I call back and he could only wish me good luck if I didn't act on this. I got rid of them once about six weeks ago when I had my attorney call. When he told them he intended to sue them, they hung up on him. I thought I was done with them. Now they start up again. I have never had a loan with Quik Payday and all my past loans are paid off. How the heck do I get rid of these guys??

I have been getting calls at work regarding a PDL. They are using the title "exclusive services" They are being very rude. Anyone know?

Please, has anyone ever been involved with square one debt settlement llc, or know of anyone that has, or even heard anything of this company?

I have an agreement with Discover card and I pay $100 to the courthouse every month. I recently printed my credit report, and it shows that Discover has reported it to the credit bureaus as "Unpaid balance reported as a loss by grantor" and that it was "charged off as bad debt". Does this mean I will be getting a letter stating the debt was forgiven?

I had two accounts with CitiBank that I defulted on about 10 months ago. I finally today spoke with someone from the most recent collection account...Academy Services. He said that CitiBank will never forgive more than $15000 of any debt which still leaves me on the hook for more than I can manage. I offered every penny I have which is $8000, they won't settle for less than $14000. I have seen a bankruptcy atty and do qualify to file for a CH7 but really do not want to. The IRS has liens on everything so I have nothing of value to sell to help settle these accounts.

I emailed and faxed my C & D Letter to them and guess what they emailed it back to me. What the heck? Do you think this is their way of letting me know they received it or their way of trying to say shove it? I responded with Please confirm your mailing address for the $30 I owe you. I feel like I am going insane over all of this. I wish I could hit the lottery and be done.

Hi guys...long time no hear from me I know. Husband and I would up filing a Chapter 13. We closed out our checking account as I had some checks that bounced and he opened up an account in his name. I have been paying those checks sent back one at at time with the money I had left since they are taking the thriteen funds from me. NOw, as of last week he has left me and moved in with another woman. I am going to have the lawyer take the money he owes out of his pay...husband agreed to do this. Wants to be fair (gag) But I need a checking account.
