Okay, long story short, I've been fighting Midland for the past three years and though they finally got the hint. I had 2--mind you only 2--cc go to them for collection long after the sol and long after the original creditor had left my report but then I ended up with 15 listings for Midland. I challenged every one and one by one they didn't validate and were deleated, then they started listing one every month with a 30 day time on it. Last month, I challenged everything on my report again dealing with midland and all but one was deleated.

So I defaulted on my loans last Friday and I am starting to get calls today. I was wondering what I should do next. I am going to file Chapter 128 in Wisconsin but I have yet to send in the money for it because of the stupid payday loans taking all of my paycheck. I am hoping to send in the fifty dollars to start the paperwork next week. Should I send a C and D letter to the payday loan companies or should I just ingnore them? I really would like the calls to stop because I plan on paying them back but it is going to be through my trustee.

So i had a Macy's card, which i used for a very small purchase (under $10). When i went to check my balance online (at Macys.com) my account indicated a balance of $0. I have several credit cards and am always very timely with my payments, so i figured i had paid this small balance. Even to this day, the online account is still showing as $0, so i'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the functionality of the online account. The account was with Citicards, and is now being handled by UCB. The balance is now up to about $138, based on a series of late charges.

Anyone heard of this pdl consolidation org? Any advice?

My husband is thinking about filing ch. 7. He has about $13,000 worth of credit card debt that is solely in his name and no joint accounts with me. He has been paying $518 per month to debtguru for these creditors. I am his wife and I filed ch.7 back in 2003. What should he do? We are in the state of Texas and I know that the bankruptcy laws have changed since I filed back in 2003. I never want to see another credit card again. ever.

My husband has a credit card with Credit One Bank that is over 120 past due. The total balance is $686.00. I sent them a letter to settle it for $252.00 and have not heard back from them. Are they a sue-happy company?

If I stop payment on all my ACH withdrawals, what happens next? What are the consequences?

I talked today with a lady regarding my 57 day late Advanta bank corp account. First of all she mentioned to me debt management, I then mentioned to her that dmp would not help my monthly payments be lowered and I mentioned debt settlement. She then told me that they do not deal with DS companies as they require them to "sell" my account and they don't do that. I had never heard that before. And she also said that as of the 30th my account would leave her department and so somewhere else, collections I assumed.

My husband has recently been contacted by Capitol Recovery claiming that over 20 years ago he received a non moving violation in Goshen City, IN. He is a truck driver and after all this time we assumed that the company had paid this ticket. They claim its for not registering a trailer in the state of Indiana. We are and the truck company are from the state of Michigan. They now claim the ticket was not paid and was put in a drawer and just found and would like the payment to made now in full. Isn't there a statute of limitations on something like this?
