OK. Account closed. All letters sent. Waiting for the results. Because of the PDL's debiting my account I had several checks to bounce. Those are being taken care of first!!! I have called everyone and explained the situation to them...they are very understanding and will work with me on getting them taken care of. I contacted some of them before they even knew the check was being returned. I think this impressed them and let them know I wasn't a deadbeat. I hope this helps someone who is not sure about what to do and what can happen when you close the account.

I received a mutual release offer from zipcash offering me a refund, however this is about $900 shy of the refund they owe me. On one hand getting any refund is fantastic, however I think they are getting off to easy.. Opinions? Would you accept the offer?

I am 53 yrs old, my husband passed away 3 months ago, I claim 3 dependents, and make about 275 a week. I recieved a letter from ED fund stating they payed my loans and that I need to start a payment plan to pay them back, $75 for the 1st 2 months and then 155 a month for 9 months and then 255 a month till payed, or they have the right to garnisher my salary..I live in the state of Florida, and they told me they have the right to do this with out me going to court, or have the right of Due process. This will seceriously effect the roof over my head as well as my 16yr old daughter.

I received a letter from Redline Recovery 9/12/08 stating that if we didn't make payment the creditor lvnv(was a sears account) said they will be starting court actions.This falls off the credit report December 2009.I am at a loss as to what to do.If I pay now then it will start the time on my credit report over and not fall off until 2015,if I don't then they may sue. One of my loan companies stated they have a blanket license so they can loan in every states. Thier apr on thier loan was 1087.89% I nearly stoped breathing.
