First of all, thank you for all the information on this site. I have learned so much by the posts and it is comforting to know that others are facing the same problems I have. I have a check n go installment loan in Moreno Valley. I am in Il and the loan was for 1500.00, now 1863.00 due to being late. I thought I was going to be able to make a dent in the loan this check, but decided to catch up on my past due mortgage, instead. I called check n go today to ask about a repayment plan, they said that is only for payday loans, not installment loans.

Can someone advise a fax number for these crooks? They pulled my credit file with my permission and I need to send them a letter.

Let's say you did a short sale on your home (bad credit item) and also have a debt settlement with a cc company (another bad credit item). Is it possible to constantly dispute these items until the former creditors get sick of you and let it go away? If so, how often can you dispute an item? Thanks!

Currently going through short sale process. The house is worth $300K less than is owed. Also have $50K in CC debt. Would it be better to try to settle debt before the short sale is completed, or after? I am 3 mos. behind on house payments but current on cc payments. thank you for your help.

Thanks in advI have been paying now for 3 months per my stipulation. I just received an update from the court that says I defaulted. I have been sending my payments on time and I have receipts to prove it. How do I correct this? Do I call up the court or do I contact the prople who I'm paying.ance

Hello All, I just printed out my report from all three agencies. The shock has worn off and now I plan to clean it up with this forum's help. :lol: My first question. I am tackling my personal information section. On my report they have me listed as a last name Gcnes when in fact one of my old credit cards spelled my last name wrong. How do I go about getting this corrected?

I have a loan with a NFCB and they still hold the title to my vehicle. But on my credit report they have written off the debt. And they have sold it to calvary debt collections. Can my vehicle still be repo'd?

Does anyone know if this company is still operating? I made the HUGE mistake of taking out a loan with them, I have been paying interests and renewing for about 4 months but on july I paid my interest and the customer service rep or manager told me that she would put me on a pay down of $50.00 a month because her license was pulled or something like that and she was not allowed to charge me any more interest or renew my loan. They did not retrieve the $50.00 off my bank account last month and I can't reach them since then, I keep getting an answering machine.

I have a 3 payday loans, which I took out of desperation like so many of us. I have been paying fees and even though I'm up to date on my payments I'm having a hard time. I don't know much of the law re: these payday loan companies but I read that they're not legal in Puerto Rico. Was it legal to loan me money knowing I live in PR? What can I do to settle this debt in a fair manner?
