My fiance defaulted on a student loan. We are getting married. Can they come after my money? Once my name is changed?

I do owe money to FCNB, account being handled by a collection agency that calls many times daily and sends bogus court info. My question is, I have no money, no job, no assets - everything is my husbands and we can't afford to pay. That is the whole reason we quit paying in the first place!?!? So what can I do?

I am unable to pay all of my debts am having problems paying the rent how do I reduce all of my debts to one monthly payment excluding the rent or ultilities?

I am getting calls again but they say they are Morgan & Associates. Aren't these the same people as U.S. National Bank? They keep saying I had a loan with Quick Payday and I have never had a loan with Quik Payday!

CRN will then obtain written settlement offers and forward them to you. You choose to accept or reject submitted offers. CRN's fees for full service settlements are earned on a contingency basis. Meaning; If you do not accept the settlement offer(s), you will have paid nothing at anytime and are under no obligation to accept any future offers.

Hello again. I am trying to settle all my credit card debt myself. My Capital One Credit card got sent to NCO Financial Systems. Does anyone know if this company will settle debt like the credit card companies will? Any advice in dealing with them? This is a validity of debt letter. Thanks.

Hello again. I live in PA so PDL's are legal as long as they are liscened in another state. PayDay One is in the state of DE. I started with a balance (which was originally transferred from PayDay OK) of $528.75 back in Dec. 2007. I received 3 small increases since that point to a principal balance of $750. When I defaulted, back in the middle of August, according to their site my balance was $1140. I have paid $1468 on this loan since 12/2007. I, of course, sent them a letter asking if we can do something about this balance and bringing it down a little since I've paid so much.

after 30 days ,..now what to do..too late to validate?

I have a ghost collecting calling me to collect on a 16 year old dept to an old credit card bill. I've read articles about not paying these really old depts. I live in the state of NV. I don't mind paying it except I've read it will come back on my credit reports as a bad mark. What do you suggest I do?

I am looking online at my Bank of America account. There is an ID number for each ACH debit. The number is the same for each payday debit. Is this the number I need to give the ACH Processor to block on my account? Thank you for any assistance.
