I contacted T & C and they said that it looks like Cashland cashed two of the checks they sent to them. Can they still come after my wages? I haven't heard a peep from thinkcash, quickcash (a storefront) or advance america (a storefront). It seems like everyone is accepting their payments from T & C.

In the state of california must you receive notification via agency and/or employer of garnishment to take place?

hi everyone. im dealing with goggins and lavintment. i got a dunning letter from them about checks from earlier this year.. in the past i sent dv letters to goggins and lavintmen for bad checks and they never responded.. i sent like 4 of them and i check my credit report and those checks have been deleted off of it.. goggins and laventment evedently dont validate debt ether.. i havent heard from anyone abot those checks and it been a year. did they opt to delete those checks instead of validating.. im sending a dv letter to them of these new checks as well

Hey guys I've been looking around and I see pros and cons to doing debt settlement. I've heard some cases where the creditors will file late payments. Question: How long doe it take for late payments to fall off your credit report? Also, I read this blog: iclosem.wordpress.com and the author does a good job of breaking down the pros and cons but does working with an attorney based debt settlement company make a difference? Any input from you guys would be GREATLY appreciated!

I had an HSBC Accnt that was sold to Atlantic Credit and Finance. I got a letter in the mail that HSBC had nothing to do with my account anymore. The HSBC Accnt is in my credit report as a charge off I believe. I know it will take about 7 years for the charge off to disappear off my credit. Is there a time were I can dispute that accnt and try to get it off my CR? Or do I need to wait for the SOL to kick in so I can dispute it then.

I got a call from this number and they didn't say who they are why they are calling they just threatened me saying I shouldn't ignore this call and the situation would fall on me. This person wished me good luck and said some other things. I question the validity of this. I don't like being threatned by someone who didn't speak clearly or leave their name.

I am in Illinois and have a 450.00 pd loan at CashDirect express that I have not paid due to my account being closed prior to the first payment being made. After reading all the great advice here, it is probably for the best it happened that way. I am now getting calls from their collection agency, MG recovery, in Utah. I can send them $100 this week, but that will be it for a few weeks. Does anyone know if this company is legal in Illinois? I want to pay what I owe, but it may take some time....

I sent my DV letter via CMRRR a few days ago and I have not received my receipt back proving that they received it my letter. How many days should I wait for my receipt to come back? What do I do if I don't get anithing back from them?
