I found this site yesterday while I was looking for a way to consolidate my loans. I immediately began looking up my loan companies and Illinois state laws. Most of the companies don't have a address available and I didn't even fill out a application or receive any contract at all for 3 of them. I got a loan back in 2008 but was unable to pay back. They called to my work and told ,the secretary that they were going to serve me with papers and arrest me. I called then and it was a firm saying I had to pay them at least 200. The total was 800.

I am (unfortunately) a cosigner on a student loan that my son took out near the end of his doctorate program with a national education service. The debt (which now is about two third of the original $10,000) had now go into default. I realize I should have been paying more attention to this, but I am on it now. I tried without success to talk to the education service about this-they say they no longer own the loan-the collection agency owns the loan. I spoke to the collection agency and they say the education service owns the loan.

I have been reading the boards regarding Plain Green Loans. Took advice and sent them email today stating that they were illegal in Michigan, that I overpaid them and that they need to mark my account paid in full and refund me for my overpayment. Hopefully I will have success.

An EOS CCA collection account regarding an AT&T mobile account I had back in 2007 was added to my credit report October 2012. After looking at all three of my reports, it shows that the account was opened in August 2012. Between August and October, I???ve received no contact from EOS CCA via phone or mail. The debt validation letter I sent arrived at the address listed on my reports November 1, 2012. I sent the letter using USPS certified mail service. Transunion and Experian are stating that the debt was verified, but yet I still haven't heard from EOS CCA via mail or phone. What do I do now?

I live in Ky, have a PDL with them. Thanks to some advice on here, i have closed my checking acct and opened a new one, also i've contact my friends and HR dept. However, i cannot email the ACH revoke letter. They are located in anguilla and their parent company is in Canada - is it even worth it to try and send a letter to them?? thanks - this site has been a life saver!!
