I have 3 student loans (1 federal, 2 private) and 2 credit cards I would like to pay off. I've never done this before, and would like to know a reputable company to go through.

how will you guys reduce up the debts in couple of yeards.

I spoke with someone at the Indiana Financial Institions office today that had some interesting useful info. I don't feel I should post it so I guess pm me? I'm going to be offline for a while today though.

Last year when my husband was hurt we put $7500 on his brother's charge. (as cash to us) Now we are paying him monthly but I would rather have it in our name so we can at least deal with it. Is it possible to balance transfer it?

I've been paying renewal fees for forever and finally had to close my account. I did send certified letters out but most were returned.

Thank you in advance to all the kind people who frequent this board. You have provided so much good advice to others, I hope you can help me. Here is my question: I am at 174 days with CAP One. I have been speaking with them on a biweekly basis now- and the best settlement deal they are offering me is the principal balance of what I owe them $7300 (from my total balance of $9100). With me being so close to charge off- do you think this is their best offer? Should I hold out for another week? Will they be more willing to negotitate once it gets charged off?
