I want to join the community, register and be able to accumulate points, but know I'm not ready to speak with the debt counselors yet. Is this possible? I'm not ready because I have no income right now, so I can't set up debt consolidation since I can't pay for anything right now. But I want to do this and plan on doing debt consolidation and set up payments once I get a job, which hopefully will be soon. Can I register with the community now? I also think joining now will help me be more proactive and keep me on the track to debt consolidation.

Hello everyone. I found this site when I was looking for a personal loan to pay off my payday loans. I read lot of the posts, and have to say, that I am surprised how many people just like myself fell so deep into payday loan traps. I thought I had the worst money management problem from all people in the USA. Now I feel a little better to see, that it is not THE worst, just AMONG the worst ;-) On a serious note - I am in a very deep mess. I did the usual - borrowed some money, then borrowed more to make the payment on the first loan.... and now I have too many of them to handle.

Court Mediation Services claims that they can "assume" the customers debt using the "novation" strategy?? Is it legal for a company to assume your debt and then change the terms of the contract so they can essentially eliminate the debt? Anyway it sounds to good to be true.

do you work to consolidate credit card debt

I have an installment loan at check n go, which is in default. I have made 3 payments of 336.00, but they are saying I still owe 1700.00 on a 1500.00 installment. I can pay them the $237.00 this week to get out default, but all that will do is give me 2 weeks, then I will be back at the same place I am. I asked about a repayment plan, but was told no. I also have 3 internet payday loans. One is payday1, which I have been paying, and have paid the principal, but now still have seven payments of 109.00 left on a $500.00 loan!!! Crazy.

Okay so now that I have my internet loans undercontrol, I have a problem with my storefronts. I have not yet gotten behind and they are due next Friday the 8th. Here is what I owe: MoneyTree: 795 Cash Store: 795 Fast Cash Loans: 575 I have thought about the EPP but if I do I still have no money left to pay my bills to live. On top of that I have been laid off. I have reloaned at least 4 with Fast Cash and Cash STore but Money Tree only three. Is there a letter or something I can write to the companys asking for some sort of agreement to pay what I can?

So I had agreed to settle with Loan Shop today for 300 dollars. Got a message yesterday saying to leave info with this woman and if it was after hours to leave the info in her voicemail. Fine. Today I get a call barrating me about getting the payment by 5. I said there was way i could do it as I have to work. This woman just screamed at me about it. Eventually she hung up.
