I have 3 accounts that I don't know what to do about or really understand the how to calculate. I would appreciate any help on this. Two of them were opened in 11/01, last payment 11/04, date of first delinquency, 12/02. The third account was opened at the same time as the other two, except, date of last payment is even older, more like 2002 and it is not on any of my credit reports. My question is, how do I calculate the sol for these in new york, and I don't really have the money to pay these accounts off, should I leave it alone?

First off, thanks to all the great advice I received last time I used the forums. My advice need is my mother-in-law. She and her husband have come dangerously close to maxing out their four credit cards with check advances, cash withdrawals and regular purchases. Additionally, they have maxed out their home equity line, and due to falling home prices in CA, now owe more than the house is worth. Further, they have maxed out their checking credit line too.

Hello. I am having a problem with a collection agency. I believe they are Amahurst or something to that effect. I returned their call at the first of the month. I do not doubt they debt they say I owe, so I set up payment arrangements. When the manager got on the phone to verfy everything with me, he advised me that it would show up on my credit report as a collection unless it was paid in full by the end of the month.

I have some pretty big debts....one for 13,000 on a CC, one for 7000 on a apt rental. The SOL is coming up in a few months, is it likely that they'll start to sue me now? I live overseas, is it legal for them to just come by my parents' house and serve my parents with the paper thinking they'll give it to me?

I originally took out a "INTERNET" loan with a payday company they had me write a check to them and fax them a copy of this check writen out to them but I actually hold posession of this check. I borrowed 300.00 and have paid them consistantly 50.00 biweekly since November each tiem this was considered a rollover I have now very much so overpaid them and when I tried to do a payment arrangement they declined. So I closed my checking account. Rollovers are illegal in both Florida their state and Minnesota my state.

or. . . .have there been an increase in posts regarding collection processes? I have only been on this board since February so perhaps it runs in cycles? It just seems like the collection creeps are coming out of the woodwork. Any thoughts on the subject?

Has anyone ever delt with Capital Collections? They are calling me a payday loan that I filed a complaint to AG, BBB office in Florida and Minnesota against the original creditor on. I told the guy when he called me at work that I had done this he told me he would call original creditor and get back to me. I also told Capital Collections if they ever called me at work I would file a BBB complaint against them.

i am not sure where to look as i am not sure what other names companies can use. does anyone know if paydayone and zipcash are licensed in ohio? i did an initial look and i couldn't find them. i just want to be sure that i am not obligated to pay back interest on these loans. i will pay back principal, and that's it.

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me, I believe that I have overpaid a couple of my loans and want to see if anyone has suggestions on if I can end my debt with them because of it or event request a refund. I live in Arizona. Zipcash (internet) initial loan $300 total payout $1065 MTE Financial Credits (it was orginially 500fastcash- internet) initial loan $300 total payout so far $910 World Wide Cash (internet) initial loan $200 total payout so far $445 I also have one through Loanshop Highland (internet) initial loan $300 and I have paid $180.
