Payday Loan Debt

17 years 10 months ago
I'm very glad that I discovered this forum. The finance charges that I'm paying each month is outrageous. I've read a few posts about the payday settlement programs. I just want to make sure that I choose the right one. I have to admit that it's going to be scary having to deal with collection calls from payday lenders when I finally close my account. Which program has the best results? Town & Country or Langhorne? I don't want to just fork over service fees to some company while they sit on their behinds and not do what they promised to do.

17 years 10 months ago
Hey guys, I'm glad to find other people who can relate and, I hope, shed some light as to what I can do to get out of this stressful debt!!! I have the following PDLs right now: ACE Cash Express - $633.00 Advance America - $428.00 Quick Cash - $542.07 EZ Loan - $692.00 I'm from Texas and, as far as I know, these are Legit places. I have payments coming up for these and there's no way I'll be able to cover all the fees.

debt settlement,debt consolidation,counseling difference..

I am brand new to the site and have to take action quickly. I am educating myself as fast as I can, but need to learn some basics... What is the difference between debt settlement vs. consolidation? And is this also the same as credit counseling? How does 'debt settlement' effect one's credit report?

Proof of Ownership of Debt

17 years 10 months ago
I would like to understand the requirements for proof of ownership of a debt. So I do business with company "A" and then company "B" shows up on my credit report. Is company "B" required to prove ownership or collection assignment rights? If I do a Cease and Desist to company "B" but they still continue to report on my credit, what can I do to force them off credit report?

huntington bank

just got off the phone with them. owe them a decent amount of money that i wont be able to pay back for awhile. said they'd keep the account open for a couple weeks to allow me to repayment, i said i won't be able to pay then. i said put a hard debit block on the account, they said they cant. i say what happens if i just leave it. they say it'll be closed, sent to a debt collector and reported to chexsystems. i'm leaning towards just forgetting about it and being reported. i'm to the point where i'm tired of worrying about this as a debt and am thinking of just writing it off as a bad debt.
