I would like to know how I can consolidate my credit cards into one payment. My credit is about 490 because I was out of work and the interest is killing me. I know have a job that pays me 60k a year. Can you help?

Why is it that the consumer has to send validation letters. Why can't the courts ask for proof if the company can collect from you in the first place or sue you? WHAT IS THIS? I don't mind paying my debts but you can't figure out who to pay. I'm being sued by Pressler & Pressler and Arrow Financial for the same debt. Now how can that be? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Can someone please explain this to me?

I got a call yesterday from someone saying they were a collector who immediately started yelling, screaming and cursing at me telling me I was already being "downloaded" to the County prosecutor's office and I was going to jail unless I sent $650 within 20 minutes. I was like, "WTF are you talking about." He got even more rude, telling me "DON'T TALK BACK TO ME. YOUR F####### A$$ IS GOING TO JAIL." Any attempt by me to try and get a clue as to what this idiot was screaming about was responded to by more curses and threats. Getting nowhere, I just hung up.

Jason, If Admin is going to allow an answer to win that has to do with buying new boobs so that the person can make more money stripping, that is really wrong. I thought the Question of the Week was about debt issues . . . . Not plastic surgery or stripping. I thought the point of it was to give people ideas and help them with their debt issues . . . . . I really hope that Admin will step in and pick one of the other answers again . . . . If any time calls for it, it's now. Also, I really can't believe that this answer got so many votes.

This is the letter I am sending 7 of my debt collectors. Any advice? To whom it may concern: I am _ and I am writing you today because Federal law requires your debt collection agency to comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This is official written notice that I do not acknowledge owing this debt and 30 days from today’s date per law, I am requiring this agency provide myself and the three credit bureaus with accurate documentation such as the customer agreement I originally signed, along with an account history that created and supports this debt.

I'm considering for the short term to take a consolidation loan. For the long term I will join the community. Would anyone advise me about a reasonable way forward. Thanks Mr B. (London)

Hi, I have a question...I was receiving calls from Accounts Receivable Management of FL. I sent them a validation letter and they sent back a bill for $456 with a copy of my contract from NLS Cash Advance.net. I live in CT and know that payday loans are illegal, can they do anything to collect on this debt. I have sent an email to the CT attorney general's office and am waiting from a response from them. I am going to pay back what I legally owe, but on my terms not theirs.

Which bank will approve a debt consolidation loan. i only own my car and I think that is not enough collateral for it.
