I have been getting calls from this # and they have left messages on my machine from Carl King saying I am to contact them immediately or have a legal representative call by the end of the day.(they have left this message several days now). When I get home from work (at 9am) i have tried to call back and the phone doesn't even ring. I get silence the 10-15 seconds and then disconnected. Does anyone know who this is? How do I contact them if I can't call the number they left me?!!!

Can a collection agency hide their name and only reveal their phone number on a caller ID?

Have I missed anything, or has anyone heard/seen anything from FYI? I haven't seen any posts from her in a while, I hope she's doing OK. Hopefully, she too has had some good news on the job search front.

I kind of like it! Having problems getting used to the Avatars showing up on the R-hand side of the screen, as opposed to the L-hand side. Still, it looks pretty nice.

I've been paying this collection company a certain amount they agreed to, now they're trying to say it's not enough and I have to pay more. Do I have to pay more?

Hi all! I live in Massachusetts, and I have more than a few (unfortunately!) PDLs. I am in the process of trying to clear them all up and settle on the accounts where necessary. Unfortunately, my bank was not of much help, so now I owe them over $1,000 as well. I do have a new account elsewhere, where my direct deposit is going into and all of my bills and essentials are being paid from, but having my Sovereign account overdrawn by that much is creating some stress for me!

Clear debt solutions Is Clear debt solutions in northern CA a scam or a good company? I have signed up with them but am having second thoughts...can anyone tell me if they have had an experience with them, and if so, was it positive?

Are creditors under an obligation to say if they sold the debt? I recently sent out a dv letter which stopped the CONSTANT collection calls 29 days ago (nco financial). I now got a dv response saying that "according to their records, the account has been closed". On my credit report, the oc only shows a charge off and doesnt say it was sold. how would i find out?
