3 days ago I received a letter from Central Credit Services Inc. that they had my chase account. I addition I received a phone call from a Benjamin. He pressured me into agreeing to pay 2300 per month for 2 months to settle the debt. Should not have agreed to it. Very outside chance of having the money come the end of the month (like 10%) and almost 0% for July. Today I got a call from Chase. I called them back and was told that Central Credit Services collection agency had my account.

I just wanted to post this topic to say hello to everyone here. I joined this forum about a month ago and I have found this to be a great place to share knowledge to help people with financial hardships. Who ever came up with the idea for this type of website should win the Nobel Peace Prize.:) But seriously there are some very knowledgeable members here who provide sound advice to people desperate and at their wits end for help. This web site provides and excellent service and I hope it is around for years to come.

I am currently 15 days after the CA received my validation letters. Once validated, I plan on negotiating it to a level that I can actually pay. My credit report looks as follows: Credit score average: 525 all activitiy is 1.5-2 years old since charged off 4 credit card charge offs 1 CA 1 secured loan charged off Assuming everyone is able to validate the debt, I were to negotiate that the accounts show as "paid" instead of charged off on the original creditor (how difficult is this by the way?),and I pay off the secured loan in full, how would this affect my credit score?

I've been getting telephone calls from them in my maiden name (been married 22 years!). Got letter about a supposed debt - not me. Nothing shows on my credit report - what should I do to get them to stop calling, contacting me?

I am too also caught up in this payday loan dilemma. It was too much for me to pay with all the interest coming out. I reside in the state of Virginia and I have six payday loans five internet and online store front I just want to get out of this debt as soon as possible. Please give me some advice :(

I need help! I have paid THOUSANDS of dollars in interest on several pdl's..how do i settle them now? I live in California and they are all internet loans. I just put a hold on my bank account. Now what? Thanks so much!

I got a call from Pinnacle Financial group today about an account I paid off three years ago. I stated that I would like to send them evidence of it being paid off by certified mail. I asked for the address and the collector began by asking for my address. I asked for theirs but she demanded I confirm mine first. I went ahead because I wasn't going to play their little game. She then began SPELLING out the company name. I informed her that I had a college degree and can spell, I just needed the address.
