Hi all, Due to a technical error the responses made by some of our members didn’t get registered for the ‘question of the week’. As the fault was on our part, we have decided to allow these members to participate once more, and hence are extending the time to respond to the question for one more day. Therefore, instead of closing the participation today, we will be closing it tomorrow and will also publish the answers for voting. Hi, just a quick question-- i have a creditor calling my work trying to verify employment and calling my house saying if i dont pay them that I am possibly facing a civil suite. They state the have bought my loan from an intranet payday loan and i am in now in collections and owe them. HELP!! I live in ky and have paid what I owed and they say I didnt i owe them almost $500.

So I get married tomorrow. On Friday my paralegal tells me that I need 20 dollars for her to copy my paperwork. I tell her I dont have 20. But when I get home I will put a check in the mail. So I called her this morning at 830 and she had not checked the mail yet said that she would call me when she did. 3 pm I call her and she still had not been down there yet. Told me again she would call me when she got down there. I never got a call. So tomorrow I am gonna call her to see if it got in the mail on Monday and if not I am gonna drive to Santa Barabra and file my self. WTH is with this.

Hi, I tried to post the following entry to the question of the week and it came back with an error message, yet added my name to the list. please let me know if it was inserted properly, or if i need to do so again. I think one of the best ways to teach kids money management is by creating a systematic allowance system which mimics real life economy. For example, I think think it is very important that the allowance is "earned" by doing chores/special projects, etc. This way, they are learning that you have to work for your money (it doesn't just appear out of thin air).

i made a $2000 payment to these people in Feb. I am new to the boards and the things that i am reading hear ismaking me worry. i paid them over te phone witht two post dated checks. luckly, they only took the amount the we agreed on. However, some of the things i am reading on this board suggest that they may take more. now that the account is closed, should i be concern that they may withdrawl more money from my account? should i close my bank account??? i am so worried!

Hello, i am new and i am ready to take on my debt. My credit score falls in the "very poor" category and i need to dig my way out of it. I just finished paying off a $2000 credit card and i want to continue for my early 20's mishaps. But i do not know where to start. I printed out my credit point but am so confuse. i can't tell what/who the orgina creditors were. where should i start? i am so lost. in addition, i am and have been paying my student loan and the lender have been transfer many times.

About a year ago my mother died leaving a few medical bills, which I'm not responsible for per my lawyers? However, every other day I receive calls from collection agencies looking to speak to my mother. I been told not to talk to them and re-asurred I'm not liable for her outstanding bills.
