I received a call at work from a collection agency for Payday Loan Yes. This is the third time they called me at work. This time his name is Joe. He actually told our receptionist why he was calling. How embarrasing. I sent them TWO cease letters. I sent them to Payday Loan Yes. The guy that called did not identify where he was calling from. I looked the number up on google and it's some sort of collection agency. He is threatening me with fraud and wage garnishment. Is there anything I can do?

Hey all, I have 4 pdl's out there and I live in MD and know the monthly cap is 2.75% and yearly cap of 33%. But... I don't have the "contracts" that the internet PDL's send you and I wanted to calculate the actual APR/Interest Rate that I paid on each loan I took out. For example: I loaned for $600 and the interest equaled $152 for a total of $752 due. What was the interest rate to = $152? Was that clear? I know my brain is a little fuddled right now with calling the AG and typing to BBB and FTC. The loans are: CTC: $600 interest $152 - Interest % equals?

I am considering not having PDL Assistance handle my payday loans for me, but rather try to do them myself. The more I read about the harrassing phone calls, calls to work, calls to references, and being sued, the more upset and sick I feel over all of this, for a total of $2500, but is charging me $1100 a month in interest! I have only paid on one of these so far, and they are 3 due on May 30th. I read a post that PayDayOne would work with you, so I called and was told to send a faxed letter to them.

What makes a good candidate for debt settlement? Do you have to make a certain amount of money? Have a certain amount of self control, determination? Have a certan stress level? How long after the PDL'S try to debit your account does it take to make contact with you?? Do they make several attempts first?

I let a friend use my credit card for a couple of purchases back in 1998. He used numerous times and as of today has not paid me back. With interest is well over $7000.00. The last time he made a payment to me was in 2003. Can i still sue him?

I have a payday loan with PRL, but I wanted to make arrangements to pay off they send an email from North something in a foreign country, I live in Indiana, the state laws says they can't sue me and they aren't licensed in Indiana and neither is E care who calls me, Help!!!

Hi, I did something beyond stupid. I basically tried to consolidate my student loans a few years back. I had never done anything like this before - and admittedly I was clueless about the whole process. I continued to get DOE bills in the mail which I paid so I was under the impression I was paying my student loans. I recently tried to apply for financial aid and they told me i defaulted on my loan.

i am planning to bup my account on "deposit only" today, i need my account for my paycheck to direct deposit into. Has anyone got anything to add to this
