Hi. I have been reading your posts and would like to know more about handling internet payday loans - I live in Washington state. I suffered a heart attack a bit ago and stupidly took out 'several' pdl's. when I went back to work, they cut my hours so I am now trying to pay all the bills I made with a substantially less amount of $$. Please help. I have contacted an attorney re: bankruptcy but really do not want to go this route..

OK...as everyone knows, we had run into some financial problems and have been working on getting things back on track. Prosper finally let me put a listing up to try to loan bids. Since my credit isn't that great, I was wondering if those of you that have been on here with me a while and know my situation and some things about me, would possibly be interested in giving me an endorsement? Not asking for the $$$, just a verbal endorsement. Anything to help us out.

OKay so yesterday I was so happy because everything had gone well. The bank said that my account will be closed today and that there were no pending transactions and that they had put a restriction on te account and blah,blah,blah. I was jumping for joy. Then this morning BAM, $60.00 3 times, and 3 NSF fees for $33.00 each so total is -$279.00. So I called the bank right away and asked to speak to supervisor and guess what. She said there is nothing the bank can do until I get the account positive. She said if I wanted to dispute the transactions I said yes.

I received a summons from an attorney and I have 20 days to respond. This is my question I have tried to satisfy this debt with sending the attorney (3) certified letters for DV which they did, but then I asked for proof that they were assigned or authorized to collect this debt which they would not send. I then tried to pay the PDL and they say they cannot accept payment because it is with their attorney. So in my answer is this what I tell the courts???

Hi, I have poor credit right now....about 521 and am actively trying to do what I can to bring that up. I recently got a list of my credit report and saw that some credit cards that I settled in 2000 are still sitting on my report. I thought that these would come off after 7 years - is this correct? Also, I have another car loan that I had paid off but was delinquent in payments - does this hurt to leave on or can I have this whole thing taken off because it happened long ago? Any help would be appreciated!

Below is the response I recd regarding legallity of pdl in NC Ms.*** Roberts: There is no law that authorizes payday lending in North Carolina; internet based payday lenders are not granted licenses for such activity in North Carolina. From the Maryland Commisioner on Finance re Rapidcashforyou I did get a telephone call today from Craig Peters, a Maryland attorney representing RapidCashNow. He indicated he would be responding to my letter and indicated that The Rosewood Group, Inc., d/b/a RapidCashNow would not be providing loans to any Maryland consumers in the future. He indicated that the collection agency would be told not to collect on any Maryland loans and that you should not hear anything further from either one. Please let me know if you do hear from them.

I have a joint checking account with my son. I ended up on chexSystem with a different bank. My son is not on that account. They told my son verbally and in a letter they were closing our account due to me being in Chexsystem and the name of the other bank involved and the situation with with that bank.. Are they allowed to give that information out about me to a different person?

I've looked at RCA Credit Repair company. According to the BBB, they have pretty 'positive' posts. has anyone dealt with them? Just would like to know of any experiences from anyone. Thanks.
