Hello, I had joined a debt settlement company and I felt they were'nt doing a good job so I wanted to drop their service. They had pointed out that this agreement they have says that due to early dropout that I agree to pay $500.00 or 5% of the total debt amount which ever is greater. Well that's around 3100.00 I have to pay. I haven't been in the program for thirty days any ideas as what I can do?

When I got home from work, I checked my work email that shows any calls I missed. I had missed 6 calls from "Anonymous" in less than 11 minutes! WTH? Can they seriously do that? They didn't leave a message, but I'm pretty sure it's a pdl collection.

Does anyone here know the answer to this question? When an Attorney for a Collection Agency sends discovery interrogatories to the debtor, can they just choose to do so without going through a court system? How does it work, what is the protocol for the discovery process?

does anyone recognize this # 203-672-2110. I need to know who they are, so I can send a cease and desist letter to stop calling my husbands employer. His main supervisor has instructed them to stop calling but they won't, nor will they identify themselves. They just say give me your fax # to send info to you, but no one sends anything. Thx for any help.

I currently have 2 internet payday loans (Cash Net USA $585 & Nationwide/Ambassador $700). Both of these companies have caused my bank account to become seriously overdrawn so I opened a new account at a different bank. Nationwide somehow found out I had another account and debited my account for the fees. Thankfully I was able to get the funds back but they are now calling me at work, emailing me at work, and faxing personal information to my attention at work. It's amazing how they found out my work email, work fax # which isn't in my department, and new bank information.

Has anyone ever dealt with the collection department of this company? Mr. Harris called me at work today and left a threatening message on my voicemail, then called me a liar. I was so po'd that even though I didn't want to, I called him back and got into an argument with him. He told me that the reason he called me a liar was because when he called my place of employment and I answered the phone and pretended it wasn't me! Can you believe that? Anyhow, he told me that he is going to call my supervisor and payroll department and expose me. Come on.....he's definitely using scare tatics.

I have an account with with Wells Fargo and have been making monthly payments. What I want to know is they have been charging me outrageous interest amounts which are insane and no documentation to show such. Am I able to turn the tables and take them to court to get the interest charges removed as I know they certainly won't agree. I want to pay what I originally owe but it seems like I am getting nowhere as the amount hardly goes down.
