I had the bank put my account on "credit only" status last Friday. There were several thing scheduled to go thorough on 3/31 and I have received e-mail contact from 2 of those companies. I am in the process of sending them letters. How do I go about finding addresses and contact info? I am in Oklahoma and the companies are Centurion, SSM, Magnum Z, JD Marketing and my cash now. Through reading this board, I realize I have overpaid all of these by several hundred dollars each. What is my next step?

I have been under the impression that I have the right to request no phone contact with a credit agency (third party, not original creditor) and instead deal with the original creditor directly to pay off what I owe without ever dealing with the CA again. Is this true? I'm in TX.

This is a long story but bear with me. I had numerous debts that I was using a credit counseling company to handle the debt. The last time I dealt with the credit counseling company was in 11/2003. I stopped using the program because I was unable to make anymore payments. In 2005, I had the funds to pay off all my debt. I contacted the creditors/collection agencies and paid my debt, except one company. I called the collection agency and left messages but they never returned my calls.

OK, I got the summons from LVNV fundings attorney. I responded by writing a letter to both the Court clerk and the attorney. When I got the court order I only got that and it wasn't till 23 days later I got a 5 page sheet of questions that I had to answer for the debt. I got the court date before that and I just got another letter today saying I failed to answer there questions within the 45 day period. Should I have to respond to them? It says it is the plaintiff's final request for answers to interrogatories. I sent a DV letter certified mail and they never responded to me.

I have two car loans that are upside down. My baby is having surgery for a birth defect related to some medication that I was given during pregnancy (lawsuit pending) and I am staying home with him and taking leave without pay from work. I have exhausted the disability and family leave systems, they are not allowing anymore paid time. Until my son has surgery and recovers, I do not feel like I can put him in daycare. My car loans are at 13% and 12% interest and we can't sell the cars for what we owe on them. If we did sell them at blue book it would still leave us with 8,000 owed.

Hi everyone, was hoping i could get some more helpful advice once again? Paychecktoday.com sent me to collections. I borrowed $400 and repaid $200 so far. I do intend to pay off the remaining part I borrowed once I have the money. The collection letter they sent me states I owe $868.00 to ACA Recovery. I sent ACA recovery a debt validation letter that Cannr posted. All they sent back to me was a copy of the internet loan agreement. Nothing else, not even a breakdown of how they came to the $868. So my question is.... how do I respond?

I am dealing with hanna j frederick which i hear from budd hibbs is the worst. I have requested 2 times for validation. The 1st time they sent me a letter telling me who the original debtor is. I requested again for the information since my debt 3 years ago went from 3000.00 to 7500.00. Should i send another letter? These guys are very under handed from what i understand. I have not been served with an summons. I have read on budds site how they have garnished paychecks and repossed cars. So being i have not heard from them they might be up to something. What do you suggest?

I have 3 payday loans that I need advice on. I am in Texas and these are all internet loans. The companies are Payday OK' United Cash Loans, and Thinkcash. I have closed my bank account but they still try to withdraw money and Thinkcash adds on a NSF every time. What do I need to do to either pay off or get them to PIF?
