I currently have about 5k in payday loans. i am new to this site. i have seen many people post how much they owe, where they owe and what state they reside in. Im in CA, i have SEVERAL loans. i make good money that i just haven't been able to see lately. I am going to contact T&C to see what they will charge me for consolidating the paydayloans, but what is the case regarding PDL where the lender is not licensed in CA? I went on ca.gov and searched for Financial Services Division Licensee Address Listing and typed in the companies i have used, but none seem to be coming up for me. HELP!

Just a heads up - there's a "new" PDL called Payco - they're really AIP, it's the same phone/fax number, and when I asked directly, the person I spoke to there admitted that they were "basically" the same company. They have the same exact policies - $200 loan, $99 fee every paycheck, no written contract, everything over the phone, etc. I made the mistake of taking a $200 loan with Payco which I'm in the midst of dealing with, but I just wanted to warn people off of them and let everyone know that AIP is still in business under another name.

AG McDaniel Orders Payday Lenders to Cease Operations or Face Action The state attorney general's office on Tuesday mailed letters to 156 businesses around Arkansas ordering them to cease and desist payday lending activity. "I am demanding that these payday lenders close their doors permanently," said Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, who announced the action at a press conference Tuesday morning. The letter also demands that the businesses void current and past-due payday loans, end collection activities on payday loans and stop making any new payday loans.

went to bank and closed my account. assured me that when account is closed nothing can go thru or force open that account, and if something tries to come thru that is not listed they will call me so now what do i do? i have a number for stcadvance.com it is 18006801357 can anybody help with this one. when do i contact the bbb about the illegal ones and what do i do about the legal ones because i do plan one paying the money i need help on what to do next please.

Is it legal for a CA to leave a message at my place of employment in the general voice mailbox? Yesterday, Mr. Pierce from NRC left the following message for me at work...."this message is for (my name) and I need a return call today from you or your attorney regarding file # *******. If I don't receive a call back from you or your attorney today I will be forced to have to make a decision on your behalf that will not be in your best interest at all"

If a debt was paid to Company A, but I erroneously paid Company B when they showed on my credit reports, how do I get my money back from Company B? Or can I?

Hello, my name is James. I accumulated my debt right when I started college. My parents told me that if I got a credit card(s) that they would pay the bill for me. I think I had about 4 or 5 credit cards. For the most part they were mainly used for school needs. Books, food, things for my room, etc. So after a while I was told by my mother that they had stopped making payments on them.
