Hi ~ I have 5 PDL's outstanding; I live in New Mexico. All of the loans will come due for renewal on the 31st of this month. I have contacted PDL Consolidations and they have agreed to help, however they are going to charge me $100.00 up front to do so (which of course I don't have) and will not begin to help me until that point. My loans are with: Americash - loan amount 400 - w/ interest 480 CashNetUSE - 550 - 625 MyCashNow - 605 - 720.80 ThinkCash - 500 - 620 Zip19 - 300 - 359 Per PDL Consolidations I have closed my account and opened a new one.

I got a chatty call the other day from some bimbo at Resurgent Capital Services. Under interrogation, she admitted that the account in question was bought by LVNV Funding. Claims they sent a letter, or some crap to that effect... Who knows, who cares. I'm getting a DV letter together now. It'll hit the mail in a couple of days. Here's the question: Send the DV to Resurgent, to LVNV, or both? Reasoning? Thanx, y'all!

How does one go about filing taxes if they are still married but seperated? Is it possible to still file a joint return even though you live at different addresses (Same state, same city)?

So, I closed my checking account and opened another after reviewing Maryland's code on PDLs. NOW, I'm getting the calls threatening to garnish my wages. I have tried calling the MD Commissioner of Financial Regulations and she has yet to return my calls (2 weeks). SO, if another Marylander could point me in another direction or exactly who I need to contact that would be great. Thanks.

I was just sitting down to enjoy an Irish Mule after putting the ham in the oven. The phone rings and the ID on the TV says out of area. My wife answers the phone and I hear her say. "NCO Financial! Talk about nerve!" There was a tape message about how I must call for a serious matter and blah blah blah! This is months after they received a cease communication letter and right after they received a letter of rep from my attorney! I forwarded him a copy of the letter I sent and told him that they have called at least a half dozen times since I sent the cease and desist letter.

Hello everyone, I have been a member for a couple weeks but have been mostly lurking. It started a couple years ago when I took out my first Pdl. It was my first apartment and my paycheck was just shy of the rent due, and my mom couldnt help me so she suggested that I take out a small loan to cover the costs :roll: . Well since I only average about $450 a pay even $100 would set me back considerably. Long story short I got caught in the spiral and now I have 3 outstanding loans (2 storefront and 1 internet).

I had a payday loan and the check was returned. They turned it over to a collection agency who is now charging 30% interest on the debt. I thought I had read that there was a limit to the amount of interest that could be charged on collections of these debts. Does anybody know anything about this? I am in Kansas. Thanks!

I have been getting constant calls and emails from ameriloan. I have sent them a letter asking them to mark my account PIF before I report them to the attorney generals office and they act as though I have not sent anything. I have sent it via USM and email. I don't know what else to do. I am tired of there harassment.

Not only did this firm threaten to jail me if I did not pay on a debt after not sending a statement, they garnished my primary checking account. Is this legal?
