Hey everyone, I have a friend who does not have a computer handy who is going through an awful time with Geneva Roth Cap. They are doing the usual. She borrowed from these guys on the internet of $300.00 some time ago and they have been taking $90.00 every week (or every 2 weeks) way beyond the original borrowed amount of $300.00. She lives in Il. I told her to close her bank account, but she just did that and then did this with Geneva Roth? I told her about all of you wonderful people and wished she could join us, but she has not computer access and not really good with computers.

A little background on my situation: In July of 2007, I entered into a loan modification agreement with American's Servicing Center (STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY). I made a "good faith" payment of $3300 and then made six monthly payments of $900. I made my final payment in Jan, but failed to call back for recalculation of my finances (the payments came straight out of my checking account, so I didn't have to keep track of them).

Back in mid 2000 I moved to different state couldn't find any old credit card bill to call and change my address. Last month I got letter from collection saying they bought bla bla bla and now I owe them money and I have till end of Feb. to contact them otherwise action will be taken. Can collection company still come after me after 7 years already? What should I do? Thank You, Lynn

hi everyone.. like to let u all know of my never ending battle with geneva roth.. they hit my account again for 90.00 for the second week the first time they hit it 400 dollars im in the process of closing the account but they have already cause 400 dollars in overdraft fees more then the loan its self..i sent a letter as well as a complaint to the bbb that instead of paying those fees back use it to pay my loan off and mark my account paid in full..if not im going to sue em...

1.My ex-husband and I finally came to a settlement on debt that we accualated in the marriage. He was awarded some of the debt that is on my credit. What can I send to the creditors letting them know I am not responsible for the debt any longer & get it off my CR? I have a judgement listing the debts he is to pay. 2. A collection agency has re-aged a debt from 2003 to 2006. How can I get the correct date put back on my CR?

Has there ever been a cover story on payday loans and how bad they are??? Just curious as i see many like myself in this trap...everyday; someone comes to this site needing help...i also see threads where towns and or states are kicking them out...of course they can't stop the internet ones.. Just thinking out loud here while reading through the site...

Just for fun, since I received a phone call from them two months ago, I decided to check out Vincent P Cignarale's "firm" on the web. I had read on another forum that there were a significant amount of spelling and grammatical errors, and figured I'd take a peek. So I went to the site, officeofvincentcignarale.com, and found that I received an error message. The web page cannot be found or doesn't exist. Could my prayers have been answered and another scamming "law office" has been shut down? Has anyone heard from them lately?
